Bought a Townhouse home in 2014 for approximately $200K in Hampden, Baltimore, MD.
Kevin did a phenomenal job helping me find a new home. He always made himself available and stayed on top of the listing agents, making sure that any questions that I had were being answered. Although Kevin was a pleasure to work with, the real advantage to working with Kevin is the team that he brings to the table. I was able to get a great mortgage through his loan officer, who walked me through the whole process. His home inspector was very thorough and was able to give me estimates on the cost of any of the modifications I was considering. He even drove down from western MD for a follow-up visit to inspect the roof, at no extra charge! Because of Kevin's team, I was very comfortable with my purchase and I was able to close in 3 weeks. I've heard a lot of horror stories from others who have bought homes recently, but working with Kevin was a breeze.

Kevin was fantastic to work with. He helped my husband and me purchase our first house in the Baltimore area. He knows the neighborhoods well, was thoughtful about our needs and made sure we had all of our questions answered and understood the process along the way. He is effective and responds to everything quickly. I highly recommend him.

Kevin helped my wife and I purchase our first home and was fantastic at helping us find a great team of inspector, lender, and title company to ensure a smooth process. He took us through the entire process and made sure that our questions were answered. We basically felt that at all times, he had our very best interests at heart and was committed to finding us what we wanted while always staying friendly and professional. Kevin also moves fast when you find what you are looking for. After working with us to narrow down where we wanted to buy, a house came on the market in the neighborhood we wanted. Less than 24 hours after the house was listed, Kevin had gotten us in to tour it (this was 5 days before the open house). Kevin helped us put in an offer and then, after finding out additional information about the seller's intent, a counter offer that took advantage of this information and we basically had an agreement in place and initial paperwork drawn up so fast that the open house was canceled and several other offers were ignored. In this day and age, you can't wait for your dream home. You have to go out and get it, because someone else probably thinks it's their dream house too. Kevin made it happen for us and we move into our new place this coming week.
Kevin was an amazing agent to work with. His knowledge and understanding of the DC market is extensive and his patience with first time homebuyers (me) is seemingly endless. Anytime I would need to chat, Kevin was always available to talk on the phone or text.
He also incorporates new technology with practice to a level far beyond any other agent I've tried working with in the past — it was really great having an agent understand the digital age and how to use modern tools to make the home buying experience more enjoyable and efficient.
Kevin was a pleasure to work with he went above and beyond in every respect. He was genuinely helpful drawing attention to any potential issues with properties we saw instead of glossing over things to push a sale. As someone who has moved every three years my whole life I harbor a life long disdain of Realtors and Kevin completely shattered my stereotype making the process of purchasing a home less instead of more difficult. I would highly recommend him and would definitely work with him again in the future.

My experience of working with Kevin Poist was perfect. He was well researched and dedicated to providing clear information and education about the different properties available, and he also appropriately screened irrelevant information so that I never felt overwhelmed. He attended to logistical details with careful precision, while making sure the process of purchasing my first home felt uncomplicated to me. He was available and accessible for my questions and to view any homes I was interested in, and never conveyed any expectation or urgency around my purchasing one of them. He was both very patient and efficient, and he skillfully orchestrated my entire experience of finding a new home. Kevin listened carefully to what mattered to me about the home I envisioned, and then held an accordingly high standard for the properties we viewed. Rather than feeling he was interested in selling me a house, I felt he was protecting me from settling for anything less than the perfect home. Kevin is very intuitive and intelligent, and I appreciated his honesty, kindness, and professionalism. The house I have purchased is exactly what I was searching for. I feel grateful for the entire experience of working with Kevin, and will continue to work with him in the future.
Kevin showed me and my fiancé 15 homes in 3 weeks, allowing us to find our dream home affordably and quickly. Kevin was very thorough with every visit. He pointed out issues that he immediately saw, checked back yards for issues, such as uneven ground with sinking spots. Kevin went above and beyond, staying in touch with the financing team and providing constant updates, making sure every thing was always on track. Kevin even helped us after we finished and moved in by putting us in touch with the right people whenever we had questions.

My fiance and I were first time home buyers and working with Kevin made this daunting process extremely easy. He was able to answer all of our questions and I personally feel he had our best interests in mind. I spoke with friends who recently bought homes and their real estate agents did not do the supportive and investigative tasks that Kevin did. I thank him for all of his diligent work and I highly recommend him to others. My sister and husband will be buying a home this summer and I have already referred them to Kevin. Lastly, Kevin's response to emails, texts messages, and all other inquiries were prompt and informative. Finding Kevin Poist as a real estate agent was one of my favorite serendipitous findings of my lifetime.

Kevin was very professional and really helped manage all of our expectations during the home buying process. Kevin's knowledge of the area and his excellent follow up and follow through were invaluable. I would recommend Kevin to anyone looking seriously to purchase a home in the DC Metro area.
