I gave Kim a list of 5 things I was looking for in a home and she worked endlessly at making sure each objective was met. I ended up with the perfect home for me. She responded to every email/phone call/text instantly. On top of this, even after the purchase, Kim has continued to be a wonderful resource in helping to answer all of my questions regarding my loan and real estate information. She is a fantastic real estate agent and even better person. I would recommend her to anyone. I will certainly be using her when I decide to sell my home down the road.

Sold a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $300K in Iowa City, IA.

Kim has helped me both sell a house and purchase one, and everything went as smoothly as possible in both cases. She made an outstanding effort to get to know us, understand what we needed, and to work with us throughout the process. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell a house in the area.

Bought a Vacant Land home in 2012 in Alburnett, IA.

Kim was very helpful in our search to buy a home. She was willing to give us her honest assessment of the properties we looked at without pushing for a sell that didn't fit with our wants and needs. Her great personality made the house hunt enjoyable and memorable as our first home buying experience!

Sold a Condo home in 2012 in Iowa City, IA.

I think one of the most essential attributes in an agent is that they listen to the client and use that information to support the client’s needs. In Kim I found an agent who was incredibly perceptive in responding to my needs. She encouraged me to not settle for what would work, but find what I truly needed. She did not waste my time looking at properties that did not fill my needs and worked tirelessly in helping me find just the right home. Her knowledge of the intricacies of real estate transactions made the process accessible and satisfying. Her advice was sound and practical. Even more telling is that once the deal was done she continues to check on me as I settle in to make sure all was as we both hoped. For me she was a perfect blend; a responsive agent, with strong business knowledge and yet someone who wanted me to find the place I needed to buy, not the property she needed to sell.

Bought a Condo home in 2011 for approximately $350K in Coralville, IA.

Kim was wonderful to work with when I bought my home! She knows the area and her experience shows. Kim handled every detail and the closing went off without a hitch. She even helped to arrange for work that I needed done on my new home after the sale. My family has recently expanded and we are currently looking for a bigger home. Kim is once again doing a great job organizing our search and showing us homes. I strongly recommend her!

Bought a home in 2010 in Forest View Trailer Court, Iowa City, IA 52245.

When I was ready to purchase a new home, Kim was my first call! I’ve lived in the Iowa City area for nearly 30 years, but this was my first experience with buying a home on my own. Kim listened carefully to my preferences, and respected my time by working hard to match those preferences with what the market had to offer. She patiently answered all of my questions, and quickly responded to my requests for information.

When asked, Kim offers useful guidance and an experienced perspective. She has a decorator’s eye, and as someone who has difficulty envisioning the potential of a space, I really appreciated her helpful suggestions and creative ideas. It’s like having a home consultant and real estate professional in one!

Kim is conscientious and professional, and I had total confidence that she worked hard for my interests every step of the way. She is direct, honest, and well respected in the community. Once I decided to make an offer, I could relax knowing that she was skillfully negotiating for me. I got a better deal than I was hoping for, and couldn’t be happier with my new place.

Kim’s attentiveness and service extended beyond the sale. She followed up with me on several occasions to see if I had any questions or concerns, and to ask how I liked my new home. She even reminded me about submitting an application for the Iowa Homestead Credit. Kim really puts her clients first, and I enthusiastically recommend her!

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $175K in Iowa City, IA.

Kim was recommended to me by a family member and I couldn't have been happier with the results. Admittedly, I'm a tough person to deal with and she managed to keep me focused, answer my questions thoroughly and thoughtfully, and made me comfortable throughout the process. I was brand new to the home buying process, the Iowa City housing market, and the ins and outs of buying a rental property. She spent a lot of time with me getting to know my interests, my goals, my limits, and provided me with a lot of properties to look at and some general advice on not only Iowa City houses but home buying in general. I was buying a house from out of town, and it never phased her. She never rushed me and answered all of my questions quickly and honestly. I think I could have been looking at properties for months on end and she wouldn't have been bothered. While I haven't worked with other realtors, she always seemed like the kind of realtor who understands that a home purchases needs to be/feel right for the potential owner and that you never know when the 'right' property for a person will pop up - basically she put customers before closing and understood that the relationship is a long-term one. Also, I don't ever remember a time when she didn't get back to me either via email, text, and voicemail promptly. She was frank and honest about houses and neighborhoods and always brought me back to my goals. She has a fun sense of humor and doesn't sugar coat. But she also never started with "you should think this or that". It was always "what are you thinking? can i tell you what my gut says? This house likely will need x, y, or z?" When it came to the negotiation, she explained the process, laid out my obligations clearly, and talked through the likely offers/counteroffers - always spot on. Being a new home buyer, she was always good to explain things. I always knew what I was getting into with her, because she lays it out so clearly. This is very important to me cause I have a lot of questions and want them all answered quickly. At one point, frustrated with what I see as the quirks of the home buying process, I gave my proxy to her to negotiate and she came back with a great deal. I ended up buying the place. Since then, she has been helpful - advice on hiring contractors, dealing with rental laws, and an honest answer and a listening ear whenever I needed it. My bottom line is that I always felt comfortable with her and have been really pleased with how things turned out. I should also note that I bought a place to rent out in the short-term and eventually may live there when I move back.
