I have been licensed and have worked in the industry for over twenty years, both as an agent and as a top-selling account executive for a real estate marketing company. I have strong skills in communication, research, finance, negotiation and marketing and will use them to your best advantage.
I am familiar with all aspects of real estate including foreclosures, short sales and HUD properties. I am an associate broker and have multiple certifications including the GRI, a designation that requires such a commitment to education that less than 10% all agents complete the program. I attend continuing education classes and conferences regularly to stay abreast of this constantly-changing industry.

Although I was born in Tennessee, I've lived in Georgia so long that I think of myself as a native. I grew up in metro Atlanta and have lived in Gwinnett, Clarke, Fulton and Jackson Counties. I attended both The University of Georgia and Georgia State University where I earned a BA with a major in economics and a double-minor in Latin and ancient history. I originally obtained my real estate license in 1994, but for fourteen years I worked primarily in the advertising/marketing sector of the industry. As an account executive for The Real Estate Book, I gained valuable knowledge and experience about the ins and outs of real estate marketing and how important effective advertising is. I also learned how to navigate through difficult business transactions and work with many different personality types - skills that are important in real estate.
Outside of real estate, my greatest love and interest is that of my family. My husband, Shannon, is the broker and owner of our company. He has been in real estate for almost thirty years as a builder, developer, broker and investor but now spends most of his time running his gun store. He is an amazing husband and father to our two children, Kate (15) and John (12). Our kids are wonderful - smart, funny, spirited, beautiful and kind (and everything else mom's know about their kids!) My main "hobby" is parenting them the best way I can. We travel as much as time permits and will go anywhere anytime the opportunity presents itself. Shannon is a pilot so we are fortunate to have the ability to take quick trips when we can fit it into our schedule. In the past few years our favorites have been Yellowstone National Park, Denali (we are some of the lucky few who got to see the highest peak without the clouds!), South America, cruising and camping through Alaska, and swimming with both manatees and dolphins in Florida. In addition to traveling, I love to jog, watch "Survivor" (my only tv guilty pleasure), ride on the back of Shannon's motorcycle, roller skate and ride bikes with the kids. I am an avid reader and am interested in anything from politics to personal growth to philosophy to parenting to biographies to fiction.
The rest of our family includes our great boykin spaniel, Colt, our beloved pet rabbits, Toffee, Panda and Little Bit, and our beta fish Zulu.
My family and I are members of 12Stone Church and try to guide our lives in the way Christ would desire. We live with thankfulness for Him and the many blessings He has given us!
