      Sold a home in 2013.
      I decided to move 35 miles away to live with my life partner. That left me with a home to sell. Modest at 1140 square feet. Relatively in good shape though a new roof and furnace would be in order sometime in the future. My decision came late in the summer in 2009, a time when the economy was very much in recession. Not wanting to keep the house empty during winter and hoping to address costs, I hired a lease agent in addition to Kjerstin. The idea was whomever could address my needs first would benefit. The lease agent had the easier job and found a tenant in mid-November. I had to compromise and allow cats.

      Kjerstin kept the house on the market and did the best she could with admittedly very little. Occupancy was limited to August least renewal. The tenants were not as clean as I would have wanted. The cat litter and smell was a problem. Time passed.

      My retirement date less than a year away, I decided no more one-year leases, only a 60 day notice. Unfortunately, this would not become effective until August 2013. I was willing to keep the house empty if necessary. The market started to warm up. The problem was that the house was starting to show a need for significant maintenance. We lost an offer because my tenants would not move early. I declined to go on land contract. Someone thinking to use the property for rental income chose another option. Then, we received an offer.

      Problem number one. The buyers made the offer in March but did not want to close until August 15th after the tenants left. Problem number two. The inspection raise a number of issues. A new roof for the house and garage were mandatory prior to closing. Problem number three. The buyers earnest money was an easy $1,000. Negotiations started. Offer. Counteroffer. Counteroffer. etc. Agreement was reached. I would end up paying $11,000 in repairs. The partial offset was an offer $4,000 over asking and money toward closing dropped by $500. At the end my net was higher then my minimum requirement.

      I arranged for all the mandatory repairs. At the last minute documents (receipts) I previously sent were too light for the load officer to comfortably read. Kjerstin did the leg work to get all completed.

      After years of effort and months of stress after the offer was accepted, the deal was closed. Kjerstin was supportive, respected my opinions and my needs. She was constant in her stance that she would do whatever it would take to get the job done. She did, and I am very grateful.

      Sold a Condo home in 2012 in Sun Prairie, WI.
      Kjerstin was recommended to us by friends. We are very happy we did sign a contract with her. In selling our home we were looking for someone that would be aggressive. Kjerstin was aggressive and sold our home in just over 3 months in the winter of 2011. When we were ready to buy a condo we called Kjerstin. She again was very responsive to our needs and did her job professionally. When we found the right condo for us Kjerstin was very helpful in putting the deal together.       Bought a home in 2012.
      What impressed us the most about Kjerstin is that she she worked tirelessly over eight months with an uncertainty of ever making a home sale for us a reality. Every home we looked at, did not meet our needs. The one home we wanted and made an offer on, fell through. Kjerstin was still very supportive and encouraging in that we will find something. At last we found a home, set a closing date and a huge snag unknowingly surfaced. With out hesitation or concern for her time and effort, she wrote a new offer which included the possibility of this deal never happening. Once again Kjerstin supported our wishes and stayed optimistic that something Good will happen. The something Good did happen and we finally purchased our new home. To add to this, we did not live in her area, we were over two hours away and she set us up to do everything electronically. Made everything very easy and quick.  MoreLess
