Let me introduce myself. Obviously my name is Laura. I was born and raised on Oahu, and have lived here all my life. I am a Certified Shorhand Reporter (Court Reporter), having worked at our State's District Court, First Circuit Court, and Federal District Courts - also freelancing as an independent. After 21 years of reporting I became a full-time real estate agent as I have always been intrigued and fascinated with location, construction, and especially people!
Currently I have my Real Estate Broker's license, I am a Certified Residential Specialist and a Certified Distressed Property Expert.
When I started in real estate, my mentor and coach was a 22 year veteran in the business and taught me the importance of the "helping others" portion of the real estate industry, rather than the "pay check" part of it. That training has helped me to really and truly stay focused and help others achieve THEIR needs, wants and goals, not just mine.
I pride myself on being a good listener and a very hard worker for all of my clients. I keep abreast of the market conditions in different areas, different loans programs that are coming up every day affecting hundreds of thousands of people who are facing financial difficulties, and dealing with loss mitigators in an attempt to allow my clients to keep their homes, if at all possible, rather than just giving up and selling if their goal is to stay put.
I also enjoying working in relocation. My non-resident and newcomer clients love to receive my "Local Slang of the Day" emails so they are not as surprised at what people from Hawai'i use as part of daily conversation. It also helps their children when entering our schools here.
I guess I better try to shorten this a bit, so if you would like to meet with me, or merely talk with me over the phone so I can answer any questions you may have, or inquire as to issues relating to your own property, or property you may be interested in, please don't ever hesitate to call!
I will try to keep this page updated as time permits. I'm back to work now :)
And please remember to Enjoy those who surround you...
