Ratings & Reviews

Laura Dubinett was our Realtor back in 2007 when we bought our first home, and she was so attentive and helpful that it was natural for us to ask her to sell it once we were ready last month. Boy, are we glad we came back to her! Even before we listed the house for sale, she was there to help guide us in preparing the house. I'm pretty sure Laura knows every single other Realtor, loan agent, and appraisor in the area. Once we began getting offers, she helped us sift through them methodically and patiently, and it seemed each one was from another agent that she knew and was backed by a loan agent that she knew. I believe this only helped facilitate the process and that rapport she already has developed was instrumental in moving things along in a swift fashion. Laura is simply the best communicator out there, and that truly sets her apart. She is always available, day or night, phone or email. She explains every step of the way so you're never in the dark as to what's going on, and simply makes you feel at ease during the entire process. I live in Geogia now, but while working with her I didn't feel like I was 3000 miles away at all. And she is extremely knowledgeable of the East Bay Area neighborhoods having lived there for 35 years, so that helps on both the buying and selling sides. Laura's communication, attention to detail, patience, and caring attitude are what make Laura the best in the business, and I wholeheartedly recommend using Laura Dubinett to represent you whether you are buying or selling your home. You will not be disappointed!

Sold a home in 2014 in Bay Farm Island, Alameda, CA 94502.

Laura Dubinett represented us in the search for and purchase of a new home as well as the sale of our previous home. Her many years of experience in the industry gives her a good understanding of how the real estate market changes over time, enabling her to advise us on strategies and guidelines for improving our chances of successful negotiation on both the buying and selling sides.

Some of her qualities that served us well were patience, attention to detail, and a calm and professional demeanor. We looked at all kinds of houses in a number of neighborhoods over more than a year in a market with very little inventory until we were able to refine our search to what was most important in a new house. Laura gave us advice but never pressure - she always made us feel that she was supporting our needs, whatever decisions we ended up making. There are so many documents and steps on both sides of the transaction, Laura was great about keeping everything on the pre-set timeline, reminding us of our to-dos while taking care of as much as possible that she could take off our plate.

During the sale of our home, we were most appreciative of how Laura was able to effectively intermediate between us and the buyers' agent during some tricky and stressful negotiations. Laura calmly dealt with this (as well as every step of the transaction) in a very professional manner, communicating effectively with the other agent and helping make sure the sale closed on schedule.

On the buying side, we were involved in a competitive multiple offer situation in which Laura was able to establish good rapport and communication with the selling agent, getting us information that helped us determine our offer strategy. Her personal approach, including her suggestion of always writing a personalized letter to the seller describing what we love about the house and what it would mean to be able to live there, turned out to be a decisive factor in our offer being accepted.

Throughout the experience, Laura was professional yet personable and caring, understanding that buying and selling a house is a very personal and emotional decision but at the same time a complex transaction that has no one "right" answer but needs to be appropriate to each individual or family. She was protective of our interests in the best way possible, serving as both a trusted counselor and ally throughout the process.

Bought a Condo home in 2014 for approximately $650K in Emeryville, CA.

I was referred to Laura through trusted friends who she has worked with over the past several years. I couldn't have asked for a better partner in navigating the maze of buying a home in the Bay Area. I was new to the real estate market and had no idea what I was getting into when I met Laura. She was patient and diligent as I matured in my search and got a better idea of what I wanted in a home. It was very helpful to receive the daily email updates of all the new homes hitting the market that matched my search and she was readily available to meet me in the day or evening to look at property. Her weekly email rundown on open houses was just another way she was there to make things as easy as possible. When we would view houses she would provide any insight she had on the home itself and the area in a sincere and straightforward manner. She’s owned a home in the east bay for many years so she knows what she’s talking about. When it comes down to offer time, she really shines. She may look small but she packs a wallop. She knows the right mix of components to make your offer stand out and she’s very helpful when it comes to helping choose a proper offer price in this insane market of multiple bids and cash offers. Laura and I worked together for about 6 months from introduction to house closing, made 3 offers and the third time was a charm and I found my perfect home. That’s pretty impressive when I hear others searching for more than a year and making many more offers along the way. She was with me every step of the way and I really grew and learned a lot during the process and came away with a friend and someone I will call upon again and again if needed. I am so happy in my new home in my neighborhood filled with friends who also trust Laura. Home buying is a very personal thing and not just another business transaction. I wouldn’t work with anyone else.

Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $675K in Kensington, CA.

Laura Dubinett is a terrific real estate agent who went above and beyond all duty in helping us to price, stage, market and sell my sister's home. Since we live in Southern Arizona, Laura willingly took on the management of painters, gardeners and various trades people necessary to maximize our sale price. She worked tirelessly to get us the best price and we are forever grateful for her professional knowledge, advice and unfailing sense of humor during the process.

Bought a Condo home in 2014 for approximately $400K in Emeryville, CA.

Laura Dubinett, turned out to be the best real estate agent we have ever worked with. She is patient, professional, easy to communicate with and most importantly had our best interest always in the front line of her thoughts and actions. She always returned our emails or calls right away, even if she were away on vacation! She found answers to our numerous questions if she didn't have them ASAP. We found her to be trustworthy, and ethical, and we highly recommend her.

Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $875K in Kensington, CA.

In Summer 2013, Laura Dubinett helped me sell my house in Kensington. I first contacted her early in the year when a storm caused a neighbor's tree to fall and wreck part of our landscaping. She reviewed the damage, wrote a letter to the neighbor's insurer, and helped strategize getting a settlement and deciding what should be fixed and what should be left as is for the buyer to do. All this was before I signed a contract with her. She excelled at helping me make the critical choices of what needed to be corrected and improved on our older home and the damaged yard. I was overwhelmed with the work and would have spent a lot more time and effort on it. It did require cash upfront to do the fix-ups, but ultimately that was recovered, and more, in the sale price. She was helpful in the strategy and timing the market for the sale. Laura set up a schedule for doing the work. Calmly and patiently, she kept me on track to prepare the house for sale. We had an excellent outcome for price and timing of the sale.

Bought a home in 2014 in Havenscourt, Oakland, CA 94605.

Laura Dubinett was a pleasure to work with. My husband and I bought our first home in Oakland with Laura as our Agent. She was always incredibly professional, courteous and patient with all of our questions. She knows the area well and was always very honest with us about the pro's and con's of the properties we viewed.

Buying a home, especially for the first time, is very stressful but Laura helped to make the process as smooth and as uncomplicated as was possible. I would highly recommend working with Laura Dubinett!

Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $600K in Richmond, CA.

We've worked with Laura to buy and, 5 yrs later, sell our house. During the period before we bought, we were in the same situation as lots of other people. We spent part of every weekend looking at for-sale properties that met our criteria from N Oakland to San Pablo. Her diligence in researching listings and her patience and encouragement helped preserve our sanity during a seemingly endless process. After many months and many many written offers, we had one accepted on great house in a fantastic neighborhood.

When the time came to sell this same house, we reached out to Laura. She had some simple suggestions and was able to recommend a stager that made the house look more better that it ever did with our stuff :) Since we left the area prior before we received any offers, we ended up handling all the paperwork remotely and closing from across the country. It all went very smoothly, and we were grateful that Laura was on the job representing us throughout.

She is a terrific RE agent and a wonderful person. If you choose to work with Laura, it's highly likely that she'll exceed your expectations!

Bought a Condo home in 2010 for approximately $375K in Richmond, CA.

Laura Dubinett helped me buy a condo in Marina Bay in Richmond. The process took over one year, due to a lack of available properties, short sales, REO's, etc. Laura had the patience and was the reason I finally was able to find an excellent condo, in just the right location. I had almost given up hope when she encouraged me to see the one I bought...I honestly didn't want to go in! She impressed me in how she handled the sale and especially how she was able to explain everything so clearly to me, a first time buyer. She made everything so easy for me. She's so nice, I feel like I have a new friend. AND a wonderful property that is perfect for me. I highly recommend her.
