It's been 3 months since we moved and settled into our new home we're finally getting around to writing a review for FindWell. The abbreviated version is that we truly feel that Findwell, and specifically our agent Lauren GeRoy, helped us find and buy the *perfect* home for us - and that the entire experience was very positive. We would recommend Lauren and Findwell to anyone. Definitely 5 stars.

The longer story: In late July my fiance and I emailed Findwell to inquire about their services and unique business model. Lauren responded, inviting us to visit her at the office the following Saturday morning. We were first-time home buyers so we were a bit uncertain of what to expect, but she immediately put us at ease - no pressure at all, lots of information, friendly, and down-to-earth. With some guidance from Findwell we were pre-approved in a couple weeks and ready to look at houses. Throughout our home search we communicated through email and a smartphone app (AgentFolio) - which was incredibly convenient because Lauren would usually respond within minutes regardless of time of day.

Over the months of August and September, Lauren met us at least 10 times to look at houses in the $300K-$500K range all over the Beacon Hill, Columbia City, Mt Baker, and Seward Park neighborhoods. It was great to look at houses with her because she always had insight into the property - not only the strengths and weaknesses, but the estimated fair price given comps in the area. We never felt any pressure from her to buy - at most she would urge us to decide quickly if we liked a place that she thought would sell quickly.

In mid-September we made two offers. The first was in an extremely competitive bidding war with 12 other potential buyers. This was trial by fire since we were first time home buyers, but Lauren walked us through the entire offer process with lots of information and support. She provided us with lots of options for how to put together the strongest offer (e.g., earnest money, down payment, escalator) while saving money by splitting costs with other bidders on things like pre-inspection and sewer-scope. Incidentally, the 3rd parties Findwell recommended were also excellent. The inspectors from Orca Inspection Services were incredibly thorough and took the time to make sure we understood the implications of everything they observed. Lauren presented many options for home loans and the mortgage broker we went with (Casey Oiness at Cobalt Mortgage / now Caliber Home Loans) was phenomenal - he provided us with many great options and even personally called the selling agent each time we made an offer to help communicate that we were a strong buyer.

We lost the first bid to a competing cash offer that was $100K over the asking price (it happens), but we did come in second - and we learned a lot in the process. Soon after, we found a house that was actually an even better fit for us: an updated 2 bedroom craftsman in great condition on a beautiful double lot. Using the connections and materials from the first offer, we quickly put together a bid. There were fewer bidders the second time around, but we still had tough competition. We were set to hear the seller's decision by ~5pm the day they reviewed offers, but because the sellers were traveling in a different time zone we ended up with a long wait. Lauren communicated with the selling agent and gave us updates throughout the night as the decision was made. About 12:30 am Lauren gave us a call to let us know that we got the house. This was of course fantastic news and another example of how well Lauren took care of us. We closed in less than 30 days with help from Casey and lots of support from Findwell. We also received a thoughtful house warming kit from Findwell including a lot of utilitarian things we actually used.

Overall, we couldn't have had a better experience than we had with Lauren and Findwell. We found a perfect house in just a couple months and it was fun!

Bought a home in 2014 in Issaquah, WA 98029.

Lauren was exceptional in her service. We were first time home-buyers and were not familiar with lot of things. She guided us through the entire process (Aug-Sep 2014). What we liked most about her was the responsiveness, knowledge and communication. Lauren helped us crafting our offer in a sellers' market so that it has a competitive edge over other offers (and our first offer got accepted). She always had the best interest in mind for us (e.g. she strongly suggested the sewer inspection even though the house wasn't that old) at the same time she never pushed us.

We strongly recommend Lauren.

Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $350K in High Point, Seattle, WA.

Lauren was awesome both times she has helped us. She helped us buy our first home as well as sell the same home 2 years later.

She is a great communicator and she was on top of everything from start to finish. She made our buying and selling experiences very easy.

I highly recommend Lauren for any of your real estate needs. She knows her stuff!

Bought a home in 2014 in Capitol Hill, Seattle, WA 98122.

Lauren is the best agent you are ever going to have. Period. Lauren helped us purchase our home in a highly competitive market - she is very thorough with her work, very responsive, cares more about what you want rather than getting you to just buy, she is very patient - knows her real estate market and very personable. We have had 3 other real estate agents before her - and while they have been all good - Lauren is just more efficient and cares more about her clients. One awesome quality about her – is that she is relentless in getting information – she will call whoever she needs to get info, keep the seller’s agent in line, and make sure everything is on track. She is just great!

Sold a home in 2014.

My wife and I started thinking about selling our townhouse in Ballard in January and also maybe buying a new place as well -- depending on what we sold our townhouse for. We did a lot of searching to find the right agent but also could give us a rebate. We looked into Redfin but after digging around, they don't provide you a personal agent so you don't have that one point of contact.

And then we found Findwell and Lauren GeRoy which provided us the best of both worlds that we were looking for, an agent and also could provide us some rebate.

We don't have enough great things to say about Lauren GeRoy, she was simply AWESOME throughout the selling process and also helping us look for new houses that would work for us. She walked us through the entire selling process and what we needed to do with our townhouse before putting it on the market.

While in the process of selling our townhome, she also went with our on numerous house showing and we eventually found a house we really liked. So once we sold our townhouse, Lauren navigated us through the buying process of putting in an offer in our new house which also got accepted. She helped us negotiate with all parties involved so we only had to move once - so by the time we had to move our of our townhouse, our other house would also be ready to move in. We don't know if that would have been possible without Lauren.

Lauren was amazing throughout this whole process, she was very professional but also very sincere in the way she communicated with us and we knew that she always had our best interest in mind with everything going on. She was very responsive to all emails, calls and text messages and was there for most of our major appointments which was great.

We also recommended her to one of our friends and also sold their house very quickly!

So if you are looking for an agent - I would highly recommend Lauren GeRoy and the Findwell team!

Bought a home in 2014 in East Renton Highlands, Newcastle, WA 98059.

Highly recommend Lauren because of all high professionalism, over 10 yeas of experience, and all the positive experience we had with her. She is very devoted to her job and knows her job very well. Lauren would respond to emails within minutes and answer the phone event after 9pm. We really felt her interest to make our experience the best and she really did. Her schedule was pretty flexible. She was available to go see homes even after 5pm since I work till 5. In addition, Lauren is very nice as a person. Easy to speak with and get along. Honest and sincere. 5 STARS! Did not ask for a contract to bind with her because her service is so good you will never seek another agent!

Bought a Condo home in 2014 for approximately $325K in Ballard, Seattle, WA.

Lauren worked with me for five months as I looked to purchase my first home. She was a great resource to have throughout the entire process – she patiently walked me through the end-to-end home buying process, from what to look for in the neighborhoods I was interested in to what was reasonable to offer for the properties I was looking at.

Ultimately I ended up bidding on two places before an offer was accepted. All three were very competitive bids with multiple offers and tight deadlines. Lauren was very accommodating and was able to put together the offers on short notice. And even on the rare occasion when she wasn’t available to look at properties, she made sure someone else from the Findwell team was available to cover for her. Throughout the five-month process I felt no pressure to make any offer that I wasn’t completely comfortable with or to commit to any timelines. Even when I flip-flopped several times on a Sunday afternoon about whether to submit an offer that we had just put together for a townhouse, she was very patient and helped me reason through everything. Ultimately I decided not to submit that offer and she didn’t hold it against me in the least - we picked right back up looking at properties that week.

When we were outbid on the offers it wasn’t for lack of trying – Lauren did everything she could to make the offers competitive, suggesting what was reasonable to waive for each property, or how much to put up as earnest money. She even attempted to deliver them in person when possible to give it that much more of an edge. In the end we were just outbid. Throughout the process she was very upfront about what she thought a property might go for – I found that very helpful as I decided what I was willing to offer for a property.

As a first time homebuyer, I can see how the entire process can seem harrowing. However, Lauren and the Findwell team made it as painless as possible. They were very professional and a pleasure to work with throughout the process. I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new home.

Thanks Lauren!

Bought a Condo home in 2014 in Crown Hill, Seattle, WA.

We started our home search in mid-Dec 2013 and were bracing for a long, competitive and stressful process. To our surprise (and delight), we closed on a fantastic Queen Anne SF home in early Feb 2014 at an extremely competitive price point. Simply put, Lauren made this happen.

At the start of the process, Lauren spent 1.5 hours with us covering the buying process and current market trends and helped us organize our 'wish list' checklist. As first time home buyers, the time Lauren spent with us helped us feel at ease with such a complex process. More importantly, we walked away from that meeting with a feeling that she really understood us and our style.

Lauren is extremely prompt with responding to our questions (via text, email, phone) and is on top of scheduling viewings as soon as possible. But what sets her apart is that you always feel that she has your best interests at heart. She never once pushed a home she believed was overpriced or did not meet our basic criteria and on more that one occasion explicitly said she would not buy the property herself. This is also a testament to FindWell's model of keeping their agents on salary. It allows their agents to take the time to find exactly what their clients are looking for instead of chasing commissions.

During the offer process, Lauren helped us put together and negotiate a VERY aggressive bid and counteroffer. In a market where most offers come at the listing price, Lauren helped us negotiate an offer for 15K below the listing price!

Lauren is also very knowledgable about home improvement and during the negotiation process, she made sure that the seller took care of decommissioning the oil tank. This saved us another $1500.

Last, we found findwell's website (www.findwell.com) to be very informative about different neighborhoods in Seattle and they have answers to almost any question a typical first time homebuyer would ask in their content rich blog. You can tell that Kevin and his team put together a customer centric website and a business model.

Thanks again to Lauren and the findwell team!

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $325K in Alderwood Manor, Bothell, WA.

Lauren at Findwell, and the entire crew was great!

They were very thoughtful and king throughout the entire process. We first got our hearts stuck on a short sale home and waited over a year for that to close. Along the way Lauren was very quick to respond with updates and answer any questions my wife and I might have had.

When it came to over a year of waiting and her being very kind and patient with us she was very willing to help us start our search again.

And bam!

We got lucky with finding a great home. Lauren was fantastic in all our quick responses and getting us set up to find roofers and electricians where needed.

All in all extremely happy with her service. Kind, non pressuring, knowledgeable, on top of her game. What more could you want from your realtor!

I highly recommend Findwell if your in the greater Seattle area.

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $300K in Everett, WA.

We just closed on a house a few weeks ago and couldn't have been happier with the buying process. We were first time buyers so the whole process was brand new to us. Lauren was there every step of the way and made the process as painless as possible. She was very responsive whether it was email, phone or text which made things easy when a quick decision was needed.

Lauren was very honest and very supportive. She never forced us to any decisions yet was honest in giving her opinion.

I would highly recommend Lauren to anyone!

Thanks Lauren!
