Found a tenant for a Single Family home in Petaluma, CA.
5.0 star rating 8/3/2013 I knew Paul through social media. Through Paul, I was able to remodel my rental property from an extremely chaotic condition. Working with the contractor was another challenge, Paul was there to assist me all the way, even until now. At present time, the house is rented, through his property management. Although I know he runs a very busy office, with a large number of clients, he still make me feel like I am the only customer he has. He is always available for me, even after hour. He and his wife, Joanne are A+++ classic people for relators.

Bought a home in 2013.
I asked three friends who to use to help me find a home in Petaluma and all three responded the same, so I figured I better listen to them. I called whom they all recommended. I called JoAnn and Paul Claeyssens of Leading Edge Properties. I truly believe that without their help, my family and I would not have ended up with our dream home. Their confidence, diligence, and perseverance made it all happen. I had put off buying a home for so long, thinking the whole process would be complicated and scary. It was just the opposite, and I attribute that to JoAnn and Paul's experience and knowledge.

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $200K in Petaluma, CA.
When I first started looking for a home I did not know what to expect. I did know that the process would be difficult, so I decided to work with a real estate agent to help me with the process of becoming a first time home buyer. I contacted a local real estate company and they paired me up with an agent. I looked for 6 months making nearly 20 offers on houses but nothing ever came back . I wondered if it was this hard for everyone else. Eventually my real estate agent left her company, and sent me looking for another agent. I was frustrated at this point but also determined. I ended up searching through customer reviews of agents on a few internet listing sites and found Paul and Joann Claeyssens, and their company Leading Edge Properties. They had good reviews so I thought why not, what I have I got to lose? It turned out I had nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Within 3 weeks, Joann got me an accepted offer for a great home. I liked this house so much better than the previous 20 I had made offers on! Joann is a professional who has been in this line of work a long time and really has great knowledge of real estate and how to get you the house of your dreams. I was very impressed at the amount of work the Claeyssens put in for me. As a first time home buyer my price range was at the lower end of the market, but they worked just as hard for me as if it was a million dollar property deal. In fact, they even managed to save me over $25,000 off the purchase price! I would recommend Paul and Joann to anyone and everyone. Don’t waste your time looking for property with the wrong agent! If you are looking for hard working, knowledgeable, and great all around people for your property needs, look no further than Paul and Joann Claeyssens, and Leading Edge Properties. Bought a home in 2013.
My knowledge of the inventory was greater than Paul's. I think his judgements were lacking. His experience in real estate is evident but not as professional as we desired. We managed to close escrow but had issues with seller vacating the property. Paul was of very little help to us even though we said we wanted the property vacant at close of escrow. One area he had strength was in recommending good contractors and inspectors.

Regarding Local Knowledge, I am in that market all the time and know it very well. This reviewer is upset with the SELLER in a SHORT SALE I got for them at an amazing low price with great appreciation. Bad judgement? I did not represent the SELLER, The SELLERS AGENT exercised almost NO CONTROL over the SELLER, I spent many hours meeting the SELLER to honor his commitments. This was way beyond my role as a BUYERS AGENT. The SELLER suddenly had income tax leins that prevented closing escrow for almost two months. We hung in there and got it done while the property appreciated. The SELLER took furniture he was to leave behind. The SELLER went back to Haiti suddenly at close of escrow without clearing out his stubborn young female tenant as he had promised. The SELLER was not there to help. I made suggestions to get her out. Regarding process and negotiation, few agents could have managed this complex clash of Buyer and Seller personalities and greed while preventing ugliness, but I did.

Sold a Single Family home in 2000 for approximately $275K in Petaluma, CA.
Paul and JoAnne were my agents in three home purchase/sales transactions between 1990 and 2000, and I consider them the best of the best, Gold Standard in all regards. Their integrity, honesty and attention to detail went so far beyond the norm, I've been spoiled! If I am in the area again looking to buy, I will definitely contact them. Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $500K in Cotati, CA.
We purchased our dream home/farm through Paul and JoAnna. The property hadn't changed hands for around 50 years, but because Paul and JoAnna are unusually conscientious, respectful and locale-savvy people, we were able to understand the history of the various buildings on, and characteristics of, the property.

This was important to us from an historical perspective - we are now forever connected to the wonderful family who worked the farm before us! It was also important from an environmental perspective, because we want to site a children's teaching farm on the site, however 50 years ago the EPA didn't exist! Paul and JoAnna supported us unwaveringly despite an extended contingency phase where they had to meet us repeatedly at the site as we tested the soil, the water, and had a slew of contractors tromping through the site estimating various projects.

Paul and JoAnna have transformed the way I think about real estate agents - they are not only ethical, but they are also rigorous. Furthermore, they will go to bat for you, even if that means more work or less money for them. They also paid for a year's warranty on our new home. We are quite literally ecstatic, and when we have our housewarming, we will definitely make them blush with our effusive toasts of praise.

Bought a Single Family home in 2011 in Petaluma, CA.
Paul worked closely with me to find and purchase a wonderful house in West Petaluma.

The purchase was a short sale with mitigating circumstances that required several months to complete. Paul dogedly pursued the seller, and gave me the necessary encouragement to stay the course. We finally completed the deal in January of this year with the help of Paul's wife and Partner JoAnn.

I would definitely recommend Paul. He is very trustworthy, cheerful, and professional.
