Kerry Park I agree. New scupture garden downtown has some interesting shots from various angles. The photos from the Asian Art Museum in Volunteer Park are fantastic, too. It's been done before, but the Noguchi sculture, reservoir, Space Needle, and Elliott Bay is a great shot. Especially with little kids inside the sculpture. The Columbia Tower used to have one floor with observation access, I forget which. Many downtown office buildings have public or semi-public access decks, you can ask at the security desk in most and find out.

Rec Center
If you're considering a move to Saline, after the schools (http://salineschools.com/), consider the Rec Center. http://city-saline.org/parks/Rec%20Center. Nice place, renovated fall 2006. I've played racquetball, basketball, worked out on machines, lifted weights, and going swimming -- but the coolest I think are the afterschool dodgeball leagues for grades 3-6. There are lots of country clubs and health clubs in the area too, but this is a remarkable city-owned facility.

Parking!!!
Where do you park? When I visit folks in Edgewater, it's all about fighting for street parking. Any off-street options used by people who live there?

Getting accurate data for non-disclosure states (e.g., Utah)

Reply
We're working to find alternative sources, but in the nondisclosure states, our options are limited. You can always support legislation to make the sales info public. Disclosure of real estate sales prices promotes tax fairness (assessments are based on rich, actual information, and owners have transparent access to that information to challenge unfair assessments) as well as transparency of the real estate market. See discussion of the clear public benefits here: http://biz.yahoo.com/brn/070531/22037.html?.v=1 Legislation is a slow process, but changes do get proposed from time to time. Texas, the largest nondisclosure state, debated the issue again in this year's legislative session: http://www.house.state.tx.us/news/release.php?id=1739http://austin.bizjournals.com/austin/stories/2006/12/18/story1.html http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/columnists/rstinson/stories/MYSA051007.1B.Stinson.36efe1c.html

Is there a trick to getting an answer from zillow?

Reply
I have also asked the data team to look at Zestimate patters for Brookfield.  They are very different from the rest of Waukesha County.  I can't promise when or if you'll see a change, but I can promise that people will look into it. Thanks for raising this.  Liam

tax data for 53005 and 53045 is 2x $ - leading to hyperinflated zestimates

Per the other discussions thread on this, our data team has identified the source of the error from one of our data providers, and is starting work on a fix.  Again, thanks for identifying the problem.  Liam

We've run our check up through our data suppliers to data supplied from the county.  A supplier has found the source of the problem and is working on it.Again, I'm sorry but it's hard to promise when a change will show on the site.  Liam
