We listed our home with Linda in July of 2009. I was being transferred with my job and our home would be purchased through my employer after 120 days of listing with Prudential Realty at the 30 day moving average, which is substantially less than the market value. In our eyes, she was the best fit for our needs due to her experience and knowledge of the Lewisburg area. Prior to listing she was very professional and attentive to our needs. She explained that she had a friend, a dentist that was looking for a property just like our home on the river. We signed all the papers and listed immediately. Unfortunately Linda’s attentiveness was replaced by absence. Throughout the time our home was listed with Ms. Treese she showed it only once. There were no open houses as promised. There were a few other showings by other realtors but no more by this realtor. We had many people stop by and ask to see our home and each time we directed them to Ms. Treese, but there were no other showings. Long story short we had to proceed with the buyout of our home. It was not even 45 days later and Ms. Treese sold our home at a substantially reduced price to a dentist. Is this a coincidence, I think not. She took advantage of our situation. Her inaction was unprofessional and dare I say unethical. Be careful who you list with and buy from in Lewisburg. People with a lot of experience in the business know a lot of people and use it to their advantage.
Actually I just saw this .I did not sell the house one of the agents in my office did. I never mentioned a dentist because I had no idea about this buyer. He is a dentist but didn't look at it until several weeks later-he wasn't my client. I imagine former neighbors told this person he is a dentist. It is also only about 30 ft. from the river which made it very difficult to sell. It has flooded numerous times including Oct. 2011-It had significant first floor damage. The lovely home that was larger right next to it just sold 10/30/13 it was on the market for 427 days listed at 284,000 and sold for $228,500. Yes many people called about it but when they found out if flooded on the first floor several times they didn't want to look at it. The dentist that bought it uses it as a business for river tours in kayaks etc. and doesn't live in the house.
