Bought a Apartment home in 2014 in Cleveland Park, Washington, DC.
lou was more than just a real estate agent. he was a real person
with patience and absolutely no pressure to buy. he picked me up
and dropped me back, as many times as it took to find a place
that i fell in love with. although , when i found my wish apartment
it already had an offer on it. we put in a back-up offer and the
first offer started to run into issues and lou saw to it that my offer
was presented and as a result of his experience, i got my dream
Bought a Townhouse home in 2014 for approximately $350K in Riggs Park, Washington, DC.
very knowledgeable, efficient, and effective. He listened to my needs very carefully and was great about only taking me to places that met my criteria, sometimes even screening them beforehand in order to save me time.
Bought a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $250K in Southwest Waterfront, Washington, DC.
Lou and his responsive staff were extremely helpful with my daughter's purchase of a condo in a part of Washington that I knew little about. He opened doors to buildings that I did not know had available units and worked very well with the people involved.
Bought a home in 2008 in Lone Oak, North Bethesda, MD 20814.
Lou Steadwell was highly recommended by my son and his wife. He worked with me over several months, even before I was ready to purchase. When I was ready, he showed me a variety of coops and condos that met my requirements. He listened to what I wanted, advised me re details and was very responsive.
Sold a Single Family home in 2009 in Chevy Chase, MD.
Working with Lou has been amazing. He served as our agent for two home purchases and a sale. Lou was supportive and informative through out each process and offered as much of his time as needed, including discussions regarding the type of renovations that could be done to make potential homes fit our needs. I would highly recommend him and, in fact, asked him to assist my mother when she moved to the region. Integrity, knowledge and patience - don’t hesitate to partner with Lou.
Sold a Single Family home in 2006 for approximately $175K in Capitol Heights, MD.
Lou Steadwell is the first and only real estate agent we need for any property questions or services. Lou was our agent for an investment purchase in Maryland and has helped us tremendously in the property management of our rental properties in DC. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the markets in DC and MD. And his schedule is always accommodating. He's our go-to agent.
Helped me rent a Condo home in Cleveland Park, Washington, DC.
Next year, I will have known Lou Steadwell for thirty years. I concluded only one real estate transaction with him in 1984. It was an altogether most satisfactory experience, and we became friends from that time. It has been a flawless friendship, albeit one in which we don’t see each other for long periods anymore. I am in my eighties now and disabled and lead a more reclusive life than I once did.
I will say this about Lou Steadwell: he is one of the most engaging and appealing human beings I have ever known and five-star in every capacity and category. He and his wife, Chris and his children are all altruistic, giving and charitable citizens. I would believe anything he said, and I would trust him with my life if he didn’t know he had it.
Any organization would do well to have Lou Steadwell on its rolls in any capacity he elects to fill. I have been an observer of human nature for more than sixty years, and Lou is one of my favorite people of all time.
