A friend asked me recently, “How is it going with Lucie?” What could I say? “Lucie Campos is a force of nature,” I answered. For me, Lucie was a revelation, someone definitely out of the ordinary, undeniably one who sets a standard for what a top real estate agent should be about. “I have a front row seat to a miracle of the season.” I added. Shortly after Thanksgiving, I decided to sell my home of 25 years in Pebble Beach, CA. It was not the easiest property to sell. I had expected to give it 2 years. Lucie identified and brought me a buyer in 5 days, and we closed a 30-day escrow on the cusp of Christmas. It must have been schizophrenic to represent both buyer and seller and have it come out for both, but Lucie did it well. Some things about Lucie: good listener always tuned into nuances in the psychology of her client (I know that to be true in mine, at least); thorough in her research and understanding of the property; alert to wayward changes in the course of negotiations, with the ability to steer things back on course, and energetic to a fault. I was also impressed with her understanding of the fluidity of numbers, especially when it comes to compromise and the bottom line.
