Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $325K in Glenview, IL.
After several disappointing experiences with realtors, I took a chance and called Lydia from a Zillow Ad. I'm so glad that I did. Not only was she responsive to my requests, she was knowledgeable of the area and quickly narrowed the types of houses in which we were interested. When we found the house that we wanted and it was determined that it was a short sale, she was persistent in pursuing my best interests when the seller and their agents were nothing short of unscrupulous. The experience of the short sale was harrowing and tedious, with all sorts of unforeseen obstacles. Lydia never stopped working in my interest and in the end it worked out to our advantage. I feel very fortunate for having taken the chance on Lydia. I don't think I could have had a better agent working with me. I would highly recommend her to anyone and would not hesitate to have her be my agent again if not for the fact that I'm living in my dream home!

Lydia DeLeo is a consummate professional who understands the market and how to best position a property. She went way above the call of duty in helping us prepare our house for sale, leading to a quick, successful sale in a difficult market She is a great communicator, tireless worker, and someone whom I highly recommend.

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 in Evanston, IL.
This being my first time purchasing a home, I had never worked with a real estate broker before. Working with Lydia made the whole process relatively
simple, and very interesting. From the showing of the units to the actual
negotiating of the buying price, I was never more at ease. She worked very
well with the selling agent, kept me up to date with the co-op board, and
was there to answer every question I had along the way. This was an experience I will soon not forget.

Bought a home in 2012.
As soon as I meet Lydia I knew I was in good hands. Lydia was referred to me by a freind and I have thanked her several time since. Lydia made my first real estate purchase smooth and stressless. She kept me informed of how the process worked and would work. Always responed to my emails or phone calls. It was a short sale so she let me know all the in's and out's. I would highly recommend Lydia if you need a true professsional real estate agent. Lydia will give you many options to think about which work great for me. Bought a Single Family home in 2010 for approximately $450K in Deer Park, IL.
We were moving from New York and did not know the area well. It was important to us that our agent
listened to what we wanted and was patient. Lydia did not just help us find the perfect house, but the
neighborhood and schools as well. She listened to what we wanted and talked about those parameters
as we went through each house. She just did not walk us through. I did not want an agent that said “this
is the family room, this is the kitchen”. Instead she pointed out the good and the bad and the pros and
cons of each, keeping in mind what we wanted in a home. Then when we were ready to bid, she found
out all she could on the house, even calling previous listing agents to get background information. It
gave us piece of mind knowing as much as we could about the house before we started the bidding
process. She handled our entire transaction with integrity and honesty. She also stays up on the latest
trends in the market, reading the research and even helped us at closing as both lawyers did know of a
change in the law that had recently gone into effect, but our agent did and because of her we did not
have to delay the closing. We would highly recommend Lydia DeLeo to anyone looking for a house!

Bought a home in 2011.
I would highly recommend Lydia DeLeo to anyone moving to the North Shore. We moved from out of town and knew virtually nothing about the area. She was very patient with us as our moving process took months and her perserverance to find us a good house was astonishing. Her mantra through many months of house hunting was always, "Don't worry, we will find you a house you love". And she did! She answered her phone every single time we called and always followed up with everything very quickly. She spent endless hours going through each property's pros and cons, resale considerations and pricing info and background. She made us feel like we were her only and most important client from the first time we met her until we closed on our house.

Bought a Single Family home in 2009 for approximately $625K in Wilmette, IL.
Lydia showed us a range of options so we could better understand the area. It was very helpful as we honed our budget and when our dream home came along we were ready to pounce on it. We ended up in a stressful bidding war and Lydia kept us excited and informed- always answering our calls or quickly following up with the other agent. I highly recommend her.

Lydia made what can be one of the most stressful times very pleasant and peaceful. I would highly recommend using Lydia for your future real estate purchase, rental or sale. Sold a Single Family home in 2010 for approximately $675K in Wilmette, IL.
Lydia was very helpful in the marketing and selling of our home of 41 years and finding for us the right condo to more than adequately meet our needs and desires. She was especially masterful in negotiating, right down to the closing remembering every detail written and nonwritten. We got more than our money's worth with Lydia, and I want to note, as well as a fine business woman, her knowledge of the specifics and nuances of the North Shore is amazing
Notwithstanding my disappointments with two agents from another prominent local real estate company, I decided to take my chances with Lydia based on reviews on Trulia, but with my fingers crossed. To my pleasant surprise, she got my Condo ready for showings within two weeks and a lease was signed by a lovely couple within three weeks of showings. Lydia also took time out of her busy schedule to supervise the walkthrough inspection for the move out of my existing tenant and the move in for the new tenants. She also got a floor guy to repolish my hardwood floors and made sure the Condo was looking really good to make the new tenants happy.
As a landlord/lady living out of State, getting my Condo ready for listing and finding responsible tenants can be very stressful. Fortunately, without flying to Chicago (Evanston), Lydia completed all the paperwork, went above and beyond and made the leasing process seamless. Best of all, Coldwell Banker's commission rates and lease marketing agreement administrative fees are more reasonable than most of their competitors.
I rarely write reviews but out of appreciation for all the work that Lydia did, I decided to write this review. Lydia is simply the best real estate agent I have ever worked with and will definitely recommend her services to friends and will hire her services again to sell my Condo once the real estate market picks up!
