Lynn Reecer and James Reecer started Reecer Properties in June, 2010.
Lynn is a native of Dayton, Ohio, Lynn earned her B.S. in Marketing from IU''''s Kelley School of Business in 1984. Upon graduation, she was hired by Xerox Corporation, where she spent seven years with Xerox in various sales positions and achieved the President''''s Club level (top 10% of sales force) most years. Lynn married Dr. Mark Reecer and moved to Fort Wayne in 1993, where she chose to leave the corporate world to raise their three children.
In 2000, Lynn commandeered an $80,000 fundraising initiative to build a playground for Fairfield Elementary School. And in 2001, she co-founded Aboite New Trails, Inc. She was held the selected as President of the Board of Directors in 2003, a position she held until 2011. Under Lynn''''s leadership, Aboite New Trails raised over $12 million and built 20 miles of new bicycle and pedestrian trails throughout Aboite Township in southwest Allen County. The new Aboite Trails were connected to the pre-existing Fort Wayne Rivergreenway network, creating the Fort Wayne Trails, a 68+-mile continuous bicycle and pedestrian trail corridor across Fort Wayne and Allen County.
Lynn''''s passion for homes and real estate remained a serious hobby for years, until in 2010 she chose to make it her full-time career and earned her real estate agent''''s license in 2010 and formed a Reecer Properties, LLP with her brother-in-law, James Reecer.
James is a Fort Wayne native and graduate of Snider High School. He attended Indiana University in Bloomington and earned his Indiana Real Estate License in 1989. In 2002, James earned his Broker License. He is a member of the Fort Wayne Association of Realtors, Indiana Association of Realtors, and of the National Association of Realtors.
James has over 23+ years of experience in real estate In NE Indiana, with 14 years at Century 21 Bradley, one of the Top 10 Century 21 real estate offices in the United States. While at Century 21 Bradley, he achieved the Top 10 of 70 agents several years. James was also a multiple winner of the Century 21 International Quality Service Award. He was a former member of the Finance Committee for the Fort Wayne Multiple Listing Service (MLS).
James and his business partner Lynn have over $33 million in property sales in 2011 & 2012 and over $26+ million in pending or sold properties in 2013 (Jan. – Aug.). James Reecer was the #1 ranked realtor in the NE Indiana Realtor MLS Rankings (Jan. – Aug. ''''13).
