We loved working with Lynn even though, ahem, I found the house we purchased and we lost out on 3 earlier bids. Seriously, given those circumstances, I must truly trust that she handled things as best one could--the DC market is just brutal. Lynn was (mostly) patient as we looked for a house in NW and resisted selling our condo first, even though not selling made our purchase bids more complicated and capped our max bid. She even did everything she legally could to get us a property she had listed, and I can't fault her when another buyer goes $60+k over list price. We eventually decided to broaden our search to cheaper areas and consider selling, and Lynn scored big by finding a buyer willing to buy the condo at the price I wanted and let us rent back as we kept looking. Lynn acknowledged she doesn't know Capitol Hill as well as NW but she was happy to take us around and provide info on possible houses and when I spotted our dream house she quickly gauged the comps and helped us navigate the process to win a multiple offer bidding war--we ended up with a much bigger house at a lower price than we could have gotten in NW and Lynn managed everything carefully through both the condo sale and house closing. I think people have to find an agent who they personally mesh with, but we highly recommend Lynn.
