Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $300k in South Lake Tahoe, CA.Summary:
My family highly recommends Mackenzie Martin as a real estate agent. In early November 2011 and early December 2011 my wife, daughter, and I spent two afternoons viewing several locations for purchase in South Lake Tahoe. On both occasions, prior to getting in Mackenzie’s car, she provided each of us with our own packet of color printouts of the real estate sheets for each house, all laid out in the order we were to visit them. She then drove us to each spot and did what I think is one of her strong points – she just listened. My family and I walked through each house making comments, rejecting some locations and speaking highly of others and by listening Mackenzie was able to understand what we were looking for and fine tuned her list of properties. In the travels to each location Mackenzie, being a local, was able to fill us in on all the Tahoe ordinances and explain TRPA requirements which was very helpful. She even highlighted locations that make good pizza, deli sandwiches, and other local favorites. Moreover, as we drove through various neighborhoods she pointed out several houses she had assisted prior clients in obtaining. This told us our agent was knowledgeable and experienced as well as a good listener. Once we chose a property Mackenzie helped us through the offer process and then the resultant escrow process keeping in constant contact either by phone or email. Her energy is without comparison; her dedication to our needs was exemplary; and the overall experience was enjoyable. You can’t go wrong with Mackenzie!

Mackenzie Martin recently represented me and others who owned a property in South Lake Tahoe, CA. We interviewed a number of local realtors and felt she was best quali-fied to sell the home. Ms Martin far exceeded our expectations on a very complex sale.
We took over the property in foreclosure and hire a contractor to make corrections on work done by the previous owner and to complete construction. The house was large and upscale. However, the South Lake Tahoe market was depressed and the home was on a busy road.
Ms Martin recommended staging the house and recommended Lori Duster’s ‘Set the Stage Home Staging’ who did a magnificent job. Ms Martin arranged for photographs, kept internet postings current, ran ads and pictures in various publications and even had the home featured on the front page of a real estate magazine.
We received an offer which was well below our asking price ten weeks after listing. Ms Martin provided us with information which indicated additional market weakening. Our counter was accepted at a little over ten percent below our original asking price.
We thought that everything was in order and that we’d be closing in a couple of weeks. The buyer changed some of the conditions and there were factors that further complicated matters. We experienced several weeks of difficulties and frustrations. Throughout, Ms Martin handled matters in a manner that would qualify her for a top position in the State Department. She effectively interfaced with inspectors, buyer’s agent, contractors, es-crow, and other parties to not only keep things together but to get the deal closed.
We were able to close in a little more than three months from the time Ms Martin was given the listing. This was quite an accomplishment considering the nature of the prop-erty, the market, and a myriad of complications which arose.
I have been involved with the purchase and sale of numerous properties over the past forty years and have had many excellent agents and some outstanding agents as well as some who were not quite of that caliber. Ms Martin, without question, is in the top rank of the outstanding. She is a pleasure to work with and a true professional who gives 100% to do whatever it takes to meet her clients’ needs.

Listed, but didn't sell my Single Family home in 2011 in South Lake Tahoe, CA.Summary:
Agent was very professional. Gave straight up advice. Great marketing. Always kept us apprised of market situation ( I do not live in town that the house was being sold). I felt very confident with her as the agent and would recommend her to everyone and will use her again. Though the house didn't sell, it was due to market condtions..competing with foreclosures, bankruptcies and depressed housing market...

Working with Mackenzie was a real pleasure. She immediately understood what my wife and I were looking for and wasted no time in helping us find a wonderful vacation home at Lake Tahoe. Showed home in 2008 in Meeks Bay, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150.Summary:
I met with Mackenzie in order to begin investigating the local housing market, and to try and determine if there was anything for me. Mackenzie was the most incredibly HONEST, patient, upfront, knowledgable, and understanding agent I have ever met. I gave her all of my requirements and she only ever looked for exactly what I wanted. She also showed me a few houses above and below my requirements (upon my request) in order to help me understaznd the local market. In the end, I moved away from Tahoe and did not buy a home. I know that she will be able to help you.

I am extremely pleased to have worked with Mackenzie during the short sale process of our house. My wife and I had a very difficult short sale.
