Bought a home in 2012.Summary:
First of all, the words that I would use to describe Dyan as a buyer's agent are: responsive, friendly, and hard-working.
My fiance and I were first-time home buyers, so the process was a little overwhelming. We started our house hunt by attending open houses to see what we wanted/could afford. We met Dyan at an open house that was way out of our price range. Even though we couldn't afford that specific house, she took time out of her open house to sit us down and explained the house-buying process from start to finish. We left the open house feeling confident in our decision to buy.
When it came time for us to seriously look for our first home, we were only familiar with the real estate agents that we met at the various open houses we attended. We knew that we wanted to work with Dyan because she took the time to get to know us personally and seemed to understand our situation and what we wanted in our first home.
The house hunt was a long, tedious process. Dyan had us create a wants-needs list that really helped us determine what we wanted in a house. From that, she sent us listings that matched the list that we had created. One negative critique that I have for our experience is that she seemed to depend on us a lot to search Trulia and Zillow to find houses that we were interested in. We gave her lists of houses that we were interested in and she would set up the appointment. This was fine, as I knew what I wanted and I could usually tell from the pictures whether I liked it or not. I’m sure she would be willing to do all of the house-hunting if that is what you told her you wanted.
Eventually, we put an offer on a house. We under-bid and did not get the house. I feel that Dyan was correct in telling us to offer a lower price, because now the house is still on the market at the price that we offered to the seller months ago.
The house that we finally purchased is perfect for us. Dyan was wonderful in negotiations. We purchased the house for $7000 less than asking price and got a substantial seller’s assist. Even the day of closing, she negotiated another deal that saved us more than $900. We would highly recommend Dyan for first-time buyers in the Ardmore/Havertown area.…More Less

I cannot say enough good things about the tireless hard work Dyan put in towards successfully selling my house. She was very responsive, always worked as a creative problem solver, brought a tremendous feeling of calm and tranquility to the table to help ease my mind during the transaction's more stressful moments, and, unlike the other real estate professionals I have worked with in the past, Dyan kept working with the parties after the deal was done to ensure everyone's satisfaction.

Bought a Single Family home in 2010 for approximately $125K in Brookhaven, PA.Summary:
I was looking to buy my first home and after numerous attempts at failing to have a real estate agent work with me, Dyan stepped up to the plate. I was looking for a low cost home to rehab which means to a real estate agent hardly a commission. Did Dyan care? She sure didn’t show it. She worked with me just as if I was purchasing a half million dollar home. We walked through several houses, communicated daily via phone and email. It didn’t matter what time of day or night. She made me feel confident about purchasing my first home.
When we found the house I wanted to make my home, she held my hand and guided me through the transaction. I would be lying if I said the transaction was smooth, not that it was either of our faults. The house I wanted was a foreclosure and the owning bank was less than responsive. The transaction took 5 months with countless hurdles to jump over. But we did it!!!
By the time I finally settled, she re-negotiated my already low cost home by $16k less than asking (which is even less money in her pocket), had repairs completed on the home (which is unheard of on a foreclosure), and made the closing arrangements at the title company to keep my out of pocket costs down. I couldn’t ask for anyone better. Working with Dyan is like working with your best friend or relative who cares. Thank you Dyan!!! You are the BEST!!!!…More Less
