Sold a home in 2009.Summary:
When it came time to move from our Colorado mountain home into our second home in Palm Springs upon retirement, we found that combining our two homes into one was no easy task. Although we had sorted & sold much beforehand, there was still much that we wanted to keep for which we hadn't room. Also we had also just completed a remodel of our town home to make it ready for retirement`. Fortunately I had met Mark at an Open House he was hosting several months earlier and he had expressed interest in working with us should our housing needs change.
Mark proved enormously helpful as we wrestled with the pro & con aspects of selling a home we really liked versus opting for something with room for the things we wanted to keep and the lifestyle we wanted to live in a rapidly changing real estate market. Well before we wound up listing with Mark, he spent considerable time in helping us assess the.market in the price range and neighborhoods we had targeted. We found him to be quite objective as we compared various homes. His knowledge of the market was helpful in gauging value when comparing price between places, As we narrowed our search, Mark indicated that making an offer would be enhanced if we already had a bonafide purchase offer in hand for our home. This was decision time!
Mark was helpful though out this process without pushing us into a decision we weren't ready for. He had a client whom he thought would be interested in our home & who would be able to close quickly once he made a decision. Once we had his offer it was necessary to re-visit our "short list" of places we felt would fit our requirements.
Mark's negotiating skills & professional approach helped us, as both seller and buyer, in order for each transaction to mesh with an assured and timely closing for each transaction. The whole process only took about two months and I would recommend Mark for the personable way in which he kept each party informed & connected.
