As a first time home-buyer, and a single man, it’s a daunting mission to purchase one of the largest investments of your life, but Marcia made this a pretty seamless process. The hardest part was figuring out what I was actually looking for. Once I realized I wanted a 3 Bedroom and 2 Bathroom house with hardwood floors, the rest was all downhill from there. Don’t get me wrong, it’s really a complicated process, but Marcia understood me well enough to know how I operate and how best to efficiently work. Not once did I ever feel like I was rushed into purchasing a house either. In fact, from time I started looking with Marcia to the time I brought was about eight months. Even when I was busy during stretches of weeks she wouldn’t push me either, but would send occasional notes to say that she was still there. She worked at my pace, but when the time was ready to strike we made solid offers. Once my offer was accepted we were able to mobilize pretty quickly. We were able to do so because she helped construct a nice team around me between the inspectors and loan consultant.
Marcia was with me every step of the way too. Every single house I had an interest in she was there to see it with me. It’s obvious that I compliment her on things a real estate should do, but I never once felt like she was shady in any way or trying to be a salesperson just making her commission. In this regard I felt as if she was doing things for me, and not for her. There was no sense that a million-dollar client was more important to her than I was. She is not a “yes”-person either…if she felt strongly against something she would speak up. She allowed me to be transparent, because she was as well. That’s a truly important hallmark of a good relationship between a buyer and his agent. With this solid rapport, I was able to make sound decisions and really trust my instincts because I felt comfortable. She is also a seller's agent as well so she understands the whole business, AND negotiated a fair credit for closing costs. In the end, I bought the house that I wanted and I could not have done with without Marcia.
