Margrjet was born and raised in Reykjavík, Iceland. She is part of an extended family which reside in Iceland, Scandinavia and Europe. She relocated to the United States in 1981 and as a former military wife, has relocated often in her thirty-some years of living in the United States. She has experienced living in several regions including Florida, Michigan, South Carolina, Minnesota, New Hampshire and North Carolina. She has also traveled abroad throughout Europe and the Caribbean Islands.
In her spare time, Margrjet enjoys skiing, hiking and taking walks with her wonder dog, Athena. She also loves old black and white movies, painting and drawing, as well as studying the Scandinavian languages. She is an avid lover of art and design and continues to pursue her degree in graphic design at The Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham. Margjet has painted murals for The Parade of Homes in Greenville, South Carolina and has done commissioned art work for various renderings. She volunteers for the Raleigh Parks and Recreation teachers-assistant program for English as second language. When Margrjet is not working, she enjoys spending time with her four children, all of whom she is very proud.
Since childhood, Margrjet has enjoyed construction, learning techniques from her father, who is a retired master carpenter in Iceland. She watched her father build their home from the ground up as well as being present at various commercial building sites in Reykjavík.
Margrjet´s experience in relocating and moving has given her a keen eye for her surroundings and a unique knowledge of Raleigh which has been her home since 1988. Her experience and understanding in both moving and construction give her unique perspectives on relocating, purchasing or selling a home.
