Bought a Multiple Occupancy home in 2011 in Kansas City, MO.
I could have not picked a better agent. Maria is SUPERB! I am a very inpatient person and need someone to keep up with me. During my housing process I found myself trying to keep up with Maria. She was on top of things, when something needed to be done she went over and beyond to make it happen. There were a few times when documents needed to be completed ASAP and she didn't hesitate to offer to bring the papers to me where ever I was, whether that is work or home. Maria is also very knowledgeable; she diligently researches your interested house area and will provide her input and thoughts on the desired neighborhood. There was a neighborhood that I found a lot of houses priced relatively low, but she informed me that the resale value of that area was not very good. She could have easily sold me anything, but she didn't. She cared and was actually looking out for the best interest of ME! Just like it should be!
I can go on and on about Maria. She was perfect and I thank her very much for putting up with me and getting me into my new home that I love so much!!…More Less

Sold a home in 2010.
I had the happy accident of finding Maria Morton on the Internet and hired her to sell my stepmother's condo after talking to her and being favorably impressed. I did not know that much about her, however, and had not lived in Kansas City since 1981. Maria turned out to be a wonderful realtor and was quite proactive in marketing the condo. She also made sound recommendations re: how to make the unit more appealing without spending a lot of money. She has a real knack in dealing with older people, too, which was quite helpful in working with my stepmother, who is 91. My stepmother rarely trusts strangers, but she liked Maria right away and they became good friends. She sold the unit quickly without any fuss and it turned out to be such a blessing because my stepmother now needs the money from the sale to pay her expenses at an assisted living facility.
Maria also recommended the services of several individuals, including a company that helps older people pack up a lifetime of possessions in preparation for moving called Caring Transitions. They were very patient in helping my stepmother pack up her belongings, very slowly, and charged very reasonable fees. The people with that company also became good friends of my stepmother.
