If you go into the listing page below the photo there is a icon that says "Edit Listing" you can click on that, then claim the listing and show it as Sold. That will remove it from Sale, for a short period. Zillow pulls its information not from a MLS server but from 100's of outside sources so you need to find out where else the property is showing up online for sale to try and fix the issue. I would reccomend using google to search for other sites that contain the address to see if someone else is showing the home for sale. I hope this helps but I run into the same issue all the time and I think it is one of the larger issues with Zillow in general.
While a lot of people use "Zestimates" they are not usually correct in giving property values. I would suggest calling a Realtor in the springs to do a "CMA" for your home. A CMA is a a valuation for your property that will give you a much more accurate idea on your price. In Denver I do CMA's for my clients all the time so that they know where the value is at. This should be a FREE service and I would offer to help but I am not familliar with the Springs area and my CMA would likely be worse than a Zestimate down there. LOL
As mentioned bellow it can be risky to sell a home on your own. I suggest reading some stats on home sales as a very small number of homes are Sold in the US without a Real Estate agent. I think the numbers are around 8% of Homes Sold are sold by the owner and around 90% of that 8% are sold to someone who knew the person selling the home, family, friend. You can usually expect to get a higher price for the house if you sell it using a Realtor and that is something that can cover the cost of selling. If a Realtor fails to sell your home in Colorado then there is not a Fee for listing the house. If you decide to Sell by owner and you pay a company to put the listing in the MLS (so Buyers and Realtors can find it) you will end up paying that fee up front as well as most company's that assist Sellers in selling the property on there own will charge a up front fee. So For Sale by Owner can be a lot of up front cost to the seller that could be avoided by using a Agent. I hope this helps!
Although Zillow is a great source of information I would highly recomend calling a Realtor that is in your area. There is usually no charge for this service and it will get you the best idea of exact value aside from having a appraisal done on your home. I hope this helps!Mark
Hello Tony, I would suggest googleing the address of your listing. Zillow pulss all of its information from outside web sites so there is a good chance there is a incorrect feed that Zillow is getting and the fastest way to find the problem is to search for the source. I hope this helps!Mark
Hey Heidi! If you are looking at your profile page and see that the # listed is not yours you should try calling it. I was a little worried about my numbers being different but my Zillow contact explained the number forwards direct to your number so that Zillow can track any leads they produce for someone. I hope this helps!Mark
Oh No! That is a legal question but it is different between companys and whoever is holding the Eanrest money. Your Realtor should be able to get this handled for you but the alternative would be to consult a attorney.Mark
Hello Daniece, Zillow is not up dated direct by the MLS and only pulss from certain web sites. If you have your home listed only on the MLS it will not show up on Zillow right away as it will take several other sites a few days to post it before Zillow will find it. I am not 100% sure but I dont think all Listings will show up on here even in that case. I hope this helps!Mark Kinslow IIColdwell Banker
I would try to Google your address. Zillow pulls information from a ton of other sites so chances are if you google the address you can find the site Zillow is getting its information from. If you can get it removed from that Site Zillow will up date it. You can also Claim your home on Zillow and show it as not for sale. I hope this helps,Mark Kinslow IIColdwell Banker
What Neighborhood do you live in? I can pull the MLS for you to see what Lender Owned homes have Sold within the past 2 years but it may miss some houses if they are currently in the process or if they are Short Sales (home being sold prior to the Forclosure but still behind on payments and selling for less then was owed on the Mortgage)
