As first time buyers in the US, we needed a real estate professional who would do more than take us on viewings. Real estate and mortgaging is very different in Europe, we could use a know-it-all and seen-it-before type of realtor. By accident, we came across a very helpful website and found Marlow Harris.
Marlow guided us through the whole process, was very honest about the houses we viewed, and negotiated as a pro for a multi offer house we really wanted.
We are very impressed with Marlow's negotiation skills, knowledge, and last but certainly not least, her sense of humor.
Bought a Condo home in 2013 in Montlake, Seattle, WA.
Marlow is simply the best, with an encyclopedic knowledge of all Seattle area real-estate, past, present, and future (or at least upcoming). She never tried to oversell any specific units or houses and presented realistic scenarios that were critical for this first-time buyer, balancing my natural tendency to get excited by anything and everything with some well-placed "we should keep lookings." But don't mistake that low-key cool--and she's literally the coolest person in Seattle---for passivity; once I found the right place, she pounced. She was my advocate, my negotiator, and my enforcer when things got a bit wonky with the bank, and the bank's appraiser. She'll be the first number I call for my next real-estate need, that's for sure.
Bought a Multiple Occupancy home in 2013 for approximately $450K in North Beacon Hill, Seattle, WA.
Marlow was a great agent and representative for my husband and I purchasing our first home. We had a few unique situations and surprises with a bad appraisal and co-buying a home with a friend. We also had a tight budget with unique spacial needs. However, she was able to negotiate for us and was always ahead of the curb on all the details. She was really on top of everything, and did not hesitate to give seasoned advice and a reality check from time to time. Her recommendations from price to choosing an inspector were really spot on. Since the home buying process is so difficult right now, she really made us feel taken care of. We plan to use her for all our future real estate needs for sure!
