Are you...interested in education, Meadville is home to Allegheny College, Penn State has a local branch. Cannon, Mersyhurst, Penn State Branch, Pitt Branch, many techicial schools are within 45 miles. Area Vo-tech school located in Meadville. Public and private schools available. Parent envolvement is high.
Are you...interested in the arts? Allegheny College is very active in various media art, drama, and dance. Meadville Council on the Arts has a galley with changing displays. Dance studios dot the area. Looking for professional entertainment? Erie is 45 minutes to the North, Pittsburgh and Cleveland are 1 1/2 hours away.
Are you...an outdoor person, there is great hunting, fishing, bike and walking trails, parks, lakes, and streams. Power boating available at Conneaut Lake, for water sports. Fishing is popular with ice fishing extending the season.

Depending on the school, there are football, baseball, volleyball, soccer, track, golf, wrestling, tennis, and hockey teams...many starting in elementary schools.
