I found Matt looking for a lower, competing rate comparable against another refinance option that was already in progress. I spelled out what I considered success to him and he went to work. It is a 2 way street though; Matt will insist you turn around the documentation expediently for the process to proceed and you have to stay engaged in the process and the market. In the end when all the documentation was set and appraisals came in, Matt worked hard to secure an excellent refinance option that I took.
Matt has a very direct personality, a certain amount of sell to his approach, and he will drive the loan process to completion. We did most of our correspondence on email as my preferred method of contact, and was always very responsive to every question I ever asked. I had no sense that he was otherwise busy in a very competitive business. Every mortgage scenario is different, but Matt is the guy who will “sharpen his pencil” and work for you and unabashedly expect you to stay committed to him if he can get you a better deal.
