Bought a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $350K in Lake View, Chicago, IL.
Matt Laricy is nothing short of amazing. From our first meeting until the closing day, he made me feel like my goals and priorities were his only concern. He is always available to assist with answering questions and he truly listens to your needs. Not only did he help me quickly narrow in on a property in the Lakeview area as I wanted, but he made the negotiating a very smooth process. This was my first time buying a home, so I was really nervous about making the right decision and finding the best professionals to help me. He recommended a mortgage broker and inspector that just added to the convenience of working with him. I will definitely contact Matt in the future if I decide to sell my home or look to buy a new one. If you were considering an agent, look no further. You will not be disappointed with Matt's honesty, hard work, and individualized attention to your needs.

Matt was absolutely fantastic to work with and very knowledgeable. When looking at places, he asked all the right questions, and gave his honest feedback. My husband and I were first time home buyers and knew very little about the market and the buying process. Matt was there every step of the way and ALWAYS available to answer our questions. He made the process fun and easy, and above all, got us a place we LOVE as out first home! I would note that we fell in love with a place that already had two offers on it when we showed up to see it... Matt helped us get the right offer out there and in front of the right people so that we could get the place! Without his advice, expertise and determination, we would have definitely lost it. He also has a great network of professionals that is extremely useful after you find that perfect place and need to get through the closing process (inspection, mortgage, etc. etc.) I would HIGHLY recommend Matt (and his team), and we will definitely be using him again for our next home!

Bought a home in 2013.
Matt helped my family purchased our first home in Chicago and we are very satisfied with his service. My wife and I set out to look for a place closer to the loop so we started out viewing high-rise apartments in Streeterville. As our understanding of what we really wanted and what we can compromise evolved over time, we end up viewing other neighborhoods such as SouthLoop, Lakeview and Lincoln Park.
The market was experiencing low inventory and the searching was pretty frustrating. Matt has been very patient throughout the process, taking us viewing as many places as possible, many of them on weekends and on short notice. He was able to give us tons of useful information about neighborhoods and about the particular homes we saw. The whole thing was a learning experience. Not only did we learn about these neighborhoods, more importantly we figured out exactly what we wanted. Matt's honest opinions became very valuable. You want your buyer’s agent to be able to say No to a place sometimes if not most of the time, because remember eventually you only need to say Yes to one place but No to all of the rest! When things were not going well, he encouraged us that we should take as much time as needed and he's 100% certain we will find the place we love.
After many viewings, we were able to effectively target very specific new listings in the LakeView/LP area, and move in with viewing/decision/offering very fast, as the market was getting more competitive. This turned out to be a good strategy and we finally got the town house which fitted our needs nicely with the right compromises in a great LP location. We used the inspector, attorney and lender Matt recommended and they were all very good. We were able to close within 30 days, as promised, which was a very impressive plus.
I respect people who are passionate about their work and are willing to go the extra mile. Matt is one of such professionals. I called/emailed him numerous times in the evenings and during weekends, and always got immediate response. He is always available and really seems to be able to work 24/7. If you want a laid-back agent who returns your calls in a day or two, Matt is not your guy!
Overall very happy to do business with Matt and I am confident he's going to achieve even bigger success in his career due to his diligence, passion and integrity with his work. I will not hesitate to recommend him to my friends.

Matt was very professional and efficient in finding a great apartment for me. I would definitely recommend him for people strapped on time, the whole process was very quick and straightforward, and I still got a good deal. Matt can also recommend everyone from lawyers to mortgage brokers, streamlining the whole thing. For those not familiar with the city he brings great knowledge of the area, which helps you find the perfect apartment.

Matt Laricy and his team were wonderful to work with. While I had bought a home in the past, you don’t remember every step of the process. He happily guided us through the experience step by step and we ended up getting a fantastic deal on a foreclosure with his assistance. Matt has great knowledge of Chicago real estate and especially in the South Loop. To start, he guided us as to what units looked like a good deal and which didn’t based on MLS listings. His understanding of the status of the neighborhood high rises made viewings easy as we quickly eliminated some of our options, not wasting our time if he knew the standings or features of the building we not up to par with what we were looking for. As we awaited closing, Matt was always checking in and happy to answer any questions. After winning our bid, he and his team went out of their way to get us into the unit multiple times for measurements and remodel quotes so that we could jump into action the moment we signed the paperwork and the property was ours. I’d highly recommend Matt, Catherine and the entire team at the Matt Laricy group/Americorp, especially if you are looking to buy in the fabulous South Loop!

Sold a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $350K in South Loop, Chicago, IL.
We just closed on a condo. Not sure if this would have happened without Matt. He is professional and takes care of business with accuracy and precision. Matt responds very fast to any communication methods (email,sms,phone calls). Matt was able to negotiate a price that we wanted. He was able to get a lot of people interested and we got a lot of offers to choose from.
Once I'd found the condo I wanted, he helped me negotiate, and I got a great deal. We had a very difficult close due to a number of external factors. Matt was always there, an email or a phone call away to help guide me through. I've now closed, and I couldn't be happier with my condo!
Matt is great because he genuinely made me feel like I was his only customer, that my needs and concerns really mattered, and that I could trust him handling the biggest purchase of my life. When I go to sell, there's no one else I would even think about calling!
