Melissa was raised on Maui, Hawaii and attended the University of Hawaii. Growing up, she spent much of her time working with her father on custom wood and design projects in some of the world's most lavish vacation villas. After graduating from Architectural Design School, Melissa moved to New York City where she pursued her modeling career. While in New York, and between photo shoots, Melissa was hired on at the world famous Hudson Hotel, giving her the opportunity to meet and get to know some of the world's most recognizable faces, such as Harrison Ford, Jon Bon Jovi, Sandra Bullock and Hillary Clinton.
Living in the city during the tragedy of September 11 helped Melissa realize that the hectic pace of New York City life wasn't exactly for her. After returning to Maui, she began pursuing her other passion - Architecture and Design. Around the same time, a chance encounter with a "Mainlander" on vacation would eventually lead her to sunny Florida.
In 2004, Melissa was offered an opportunity in Southern California designing homes in some of California's most sought after markets – Montecito, Santa Barbara and Orange County.
After years of emails, phone calls and long weekend trips across the country to see her boyfriend (now husband), Melissa decided to see what Central Florida had to offer. She was hired immediately by the World's foremost resort Architecture design firm, where Melissa had the opportunity to work on designing resorts in the Maldives, Roatan, Tahiti, Hispanola, and Dubai.
In 2009, Melissa married her husband, Nick, a local real estate and property rights attorney. Unfortunately, around the same time, her architecture firm elected to close their Orlando office. With her talents and diverse background, Melissa brings a skillset to real estate not found in many other real estate agents. Having been entrusted to design some of the most expensive real estate on the planet, Melissa uses her training and knowledge to help her clients find the right home which suits their needs, desires and unique style. On the seller side, Melissa uses her experience to help her clients accentuate the qualities of each home to make them more attractive to buyers.
