It has been a central theme in her life since her Family & Coaches first taught her about setting goals and fulfilling them. "The Lawson Drive," as her "Family" referred to it, continues to motivate Leigh. It makes her strive to be the best at what she does, both personally and professionally. Leigh grew up in competition since the age of 3 and earned over 5000 awards. Leigh did national commercials as well as appeared on state and national broadcasts for her talent.

Leigh enjoys boating, fishing, crabbing, shooting, ballet, and spending time with her family and friends aboard 'The Big Easy' or 'Bubba Crab' or hanging out at 'The Rancho Deluxe' on the Chesapeake Bay which is truly "the land of pleasant living." Ask anyone and they will tell you that Leigh does like to have Fun---She works Hard and She Plays Hard! You can and will laugh and have a good time when you're in her company.

Leigh earned a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from
The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. She attended graduate school at George Washington University and University of California, Irvine.

Leigh holds Broker's Licenses in Maryland and Virginia. Leigh actively sold real estate in Orange County, California during the 1980's and 1990's before returning to her hometown State of Virginia.

She is married to her husband, Don and adores her Havanese, her cat and her amusing bird.
