Mike is the most upfront and no nonsense realtor you will meet. He is the perfect realtor if your serious about selling your home. He has great knowledge about our area as well as the surrounding areas. He's been our realtor for years now and has helped us purchase and sell multiple properties, and we are more than satisfied!
Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $500K in Virgilina, VA.
Mike is an honest, fair, friendly and likable guy with a great sense of humor. He helped us through every step of the long-distance purchasing process and gave us excellent advice on which businesses to deal with in the this area.
In the purchase of our home, I can't speak for Mike's negotiating skills as he was actually working for the seller, but without him we would never have found this property that we love.
Mike was absolutely fantastic. I was a low-end buyer looking for a country property to retire from the Navy to. He took me all over the lower half of the state (including some NC), from Bracey to Appomattox to Emporia, with great humor and energy. Even after my first loan requests were denied and I needed to wait a few months for loan repair, Mike remained engaged and available, and then topped it off by driving all over the state a couple more times! His knowledge of the local market and properties was only eclipsed by his constant good humor and energy. Always quick to respond, often that night (I recall emailing him some questions at 2330 thinking to get a response sometime the next day when I got an immediate response that night). He never pressured me to take a home outside my budget, even counseling against higher priced property in favor of a lower one. If you're looking for an agent Mike's your guy. Period.
As a retired military officer communication is important. Mike goes the extra mile by communicating on all aspects of our contractual relationship. He is very prompt in giving feedback on client visits and making suggestions as needed. He is the professional, but has an outgoing and genuinely likable personality. Would not hesitate to recommend this young man to any needing realtor assistance.
Sold a Single Family home in 2011 in Newport News, VA.
I have bought and sold multiple properties with Mike in the last 3 years. He is is an incredible negotiator. He understands the current market and how that works for an investor. He is not afraid to make an offer. He understands the foreclosure market better than anyone I have worked with in multiple states. In fact I wish he was licensed in Florida to handle my business there. Mike is honest and responsive. Keep in mind with investment properties the commissions are smaller with twice the work. The work does not phase Mike. He keeps at it with gusto.

Mike Dotti did a great job for us. We had been searching country properties for over a year before we met Mike. Other agents were quick to show their listings even if the property did not meet our criteria. We stopped using several of these agents as a result. Mike listened to our ideas, and only showed us property that might be suitable. When we found the property that we ultimately purchased, Mike was able to negotiate a price reduction that helped us make our final decision. Our second property purchase with Mike concerned the relocation of an elderly parent. We wanted to find a nice home with an in town location were she could live on her own and be close to support services. Mike was able to locate a home that was not yet on the market that was a perfect fit.
Mike has handled several real estate transactions for us. He is very knowledgable about the local markets and available financing, is highly motivated to work for both the buyers and sellers, and stays completly on top of the deal through its conclusion, as well as following up post closing. I would highly reccomend him to anyone looking for a no nonsense realtor.
Nearly five years ago as I approached retirement my focus began shifting towards leaving my residence in the Washington, DC Metro Area. It seemed I’d done all I could do and had to do there in as many as 36 years. Our initial desire was to find a new home in NC (in the Triangle area) which would place me closer to my Mom. It was now time to contact Mike Dotti whom I’d met two years earlier through a very good mutual friend of ours. Mike responded immediately to our call and very professionally, I might add. Using all available modes of communications, we began receiving emails, packages, phone calls and a website from Mike providing all kinds of information related to house searching and purchasing. There was so much to consider and with each there were comparisons already done for us including state and local taxes, schools, business districts, shopping, churches, social clubs and associations, entertainment, weather patterns, activities on the lake, weekly, monthly and annual activities in both NC and VA. Although I was definitely not set on purchasing a home in VA, Mike must have studied and listened to me better than I ever knew because he never relented through all of the snubs I gave him house after house after house in NC. In the midst of our nearly week long stay in the area while we shopped Mike must have felt that we needed a break. So in order to help us to relax and release a bit of pressure he took us out for a boat ride on his own boat and if ever there was a perfect day for it, that day was. Everything was perfect . . . the wind, sun, temperature, and of course the water. The timing couldn’t have been better. There was now one day left for our house searching, my specs had been revised several times and still no decision. Just as we’d decided that we were going back home without having found a house we received a phone call from Mike informing us that he’d found our ‘Dream House.’ At this point I really didn’t know what to expect but later, as we approached the house, excitement grew like wild fire! Seeing the house from a distance, my heart began to beat rapidly! Oh My Goodness! When we stepped out of the car I could hear the house speaking to me saying “What took you so long?” Once inside and after seeing the kitchen the remainder of my picky specifications just disappeared! The kitchen was to ‘die for’ and without seeing the whole house my mind was made up, no matter what else and the rest is history. We were able to get away from the D.C. Metro Area, all of its woes and have been as happy as Larks since then. No second thoughts, no regrets and we are now completely ‘de-stressed.’ Ronald Fells Elaine Rice-Fells

I can't believe how luck I was to find Mike to be my realtor agent. What an awesome guy! He treated me with the utmost respect and really worked to make sure I was fully informed. If I needed any information he was always there ready to help or find what I was looking for. I know he was very busy and had a lot of people he was working for but it seemed like I was the only client he had. Mike was always a phone call, email or text away if I needed him at any time of the day or night. I have been so impressed with how well he knew the area, people and business. I give Mike my highest recommendation and in fact I have already recommended him and he found them there dream home too. I have another friend that has already committed himself to work with Mike when he is ready to buy. I can truly say Mike is the very best and if you want the best, go with Mike Dotti. A true professional all the way.
