After researching homes for our move from Miami to Providence, we needed a realtor. We checked out reviews on Zillow since it was the main tool we used to research properties. Of three realtors we called, only Mike followed up and maintained contact. He asked basic questions to understand what we were looking for and created a search agent that e-mailed us newly listed homes that met our criteria every day. He helped us narrow our initial list of 20 homes to our top seven, called each realtor and made appointments to view them in a four hour window the morning after we arrived in Providence.
Mike greeted us at the first house at 9am with a clipboard, neatly organized with a printed detail sheet on each property, in the order we’d be visiting them. He inspected the homes along with us and provided feedback that proved highly valuable to us during our decision making process, which had a tight window. That day was Friday, September 14 and we wanted to purchase a house by the end of the month.

Once we felt secure about our top choice, we submitted an offer that was below asking price, but what we believed to be reasonable. Four hours later, Mike called us to tell us it had been accepted. We were elated, but we needed Mike's assistance to cover many more tasks since we were in town only for the weekend. He didn’t just find us a house. He stayed with us until the deal was closed.
He set up and attended an appointment with an inspector, contacted a closing attorney, returned to the house again for a final review with the selling agent to make sure it met fire code, and walked us through the entire closing process remotely. Less than two weeks after first seeing the house, we closed on our new home and packed our bags to leave Miami on September 28. Mike was waiting for us with the keys when we arrived in Providence.
We were fortunate just to find an experienced, responsive realtor after reading a few reviews. But Mike’s knowledge about old homes and his ability to point out the big ticket repairs to be wary of were crucial for out-of-towners like us looking for our first New England home. Mike was great! He knew our situation as we were selling and buying at the same time and he represented us as a buyers agent moving from MA to RI all within 30 days or so. He found us properties and took the time out of his weekend to line up several showings. Good agents are tough to find and Mike is the type of guy who will tell you the good and bad about properties. He has excellent communication skills as well as a good listener and always tries to find what your looking for in a particular area and price range.
