Christine Colon, Jane and the rest of the Mid-Island Mortgage staff were very knowledgeable and customer friendly. They secured a very low rate for us on our RI-FI ( 2.875 ) savings us a lot of money and knocked 13 years off our mortgage. Christine Colon always called us back and guided us through the process. She is very patient and answered all our questions. I highly recommend Mid-Island Mortgage and would use them again.

I recently just refinanced with MidIsland and Stephanie Santoro was absolutely terrific!! She was patient, knowledgeable, and got me a fantastic rate. Stephanie went over and above for me and my husband consistently and I have recommended her and MidIsland to family and friends. I can't say enough good things about her and my experience with MidIsland! She was the best and I will actually miss talking to her! 5 stars all the way!

Five stars is virtually unachievable in my book, but my experience with Mid-Island, and in particular with Stephanie Santoro proved to be an exception. I had a challenging situation with relatively high income, but substantial debt obligations and they guided me through this difficult process with thoughtful, professional and highly capable assistance. I felt as though I had a true ally throughout the process and Stephanie exhibited the utmost in patience as she answered all of my questions and worked diligently to guide my application through the process. Although purchasing real estate in this new economy can be a daunting process, the care and attention that I received from Mid-Island and Stephanie were unparalleled and most appreciated.

While there was an error on the final mortgage documents (an unrelated adjoining lot was included in the loan) I found the Mid-Island representative to be responsive and helpful. The process was efficient and timely and was, overall, satisfied with my experience. The underwriters are meticulous in garnering needed documentation which was somewhat frustrating. It often meant multiple requests for various points of information, but, given the 2008 crash, this was completely understood.
I was charged an unexpected 'travel fee' of $150 to have the closing in Manhattan which I found unfair given the fee wasn't disclosed when the service was offered. However, once I expressed my dissatisfaction with the fee, it was quickly removed from the statement. Much appreciated.
Frank Savocchi and Jennifer Scotto were super helpful and provide timely follow through during the entire process.

Purchasing a home or refinancing the current loan can be very stressful. Dealing with the right bank and the appropriate people will help to minimize the stress level. My experience with Mid-island was very pleasant and professional. Ms. Stephanie Santoro was extremely helpful from day one to all the way to closing. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and service oriented to make sure that the customer is satisfied & happy in every step. She offered me the best rate in the market and all the initial estimated numbers were accurate and no surprises at the closing. I would highly recommend her and Mid-island for your mortgage needs.

I was at first a bit leary of refinancing my mortgage over the phone and not at a local business. This feeling soon changed. I had the pleasure of working with Stephanie Santoro who was my morgage broker at MidIsland. This woman was great to work with, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable! When she said she was going to do something it would be done. Of course their rates were also competitive. However I found that Stephanie would go the extra mile. Also when it came to my loan closing Stephanie and MidIsland were very helpful in setting up time that was convenient for me. Also after the closing I received phone calls asking me if everything was ok. It was more than ok I found Stephanie and MidIsland mortgage corp were great to do business with. Zillow should feel fortunate to have them on their list. I feel fortunate to have refinanced my mortgage with them!

I cannot say enough about Teresa Balian. I called her one day, this was a unique situation, another mortgage company had just sat on my mortgage for almost 2 months. My time was running out, I asked Teresa on a Friday for 5 minutes of her time. She called me back and dropped everything. 3 weeks later I was approved closed and living in my home as an owner. Honestly, this is how mortgages used to be handled, they care about the customer, from the loan processor all the way to lawyers they hire to close the loans. It sounds so custom written, but honestly these people gave me my dream condo. If you want old fashioned customer service, where you feel like the only client they have, then use this mortgage company and ask for Teresa Balian!

Stephanie Santoro at MidIsland Mortgage was extrememely helpful every step of the way from the initial phone call to the closing. I got great mortgage and the entire process was as painless as possible with these things. Whenever there was a glitch, she was always available to do whatever she could to get it straightened out, with the tenacity of a bulldog.
