Mike was very responsive and knowledgeable about the property we bought and walked the entire property with us. He knew detailed information about the property and the folks that own property surrounding it. He is a professional and I would work with him again.

Bought a home in 2013.
Mike showed us an existing house about a year before we decided to buy land. Though we weren't interested in that particular house, Mike was very helpful and willing to discuss our options for the future at length. Once we decided to look for land, I emailed Mike and was on the phone with him in less than 15 minutes! The next day Mike took us to a couple houses and the land we fell in love with. I believe he knew from the moment we spoke, this would be our property and would be perfect for us. One month later, we are land owners and couldn't be happier. Mike and Janet have been very supportive during this process and I know they will be right by our side as we choose a builder and design our dream home. We are blessed to call Mike and Janet friends.

We have dealt with many Real Estate Agents & Brokers over the years but Mike Martinez stands out as a true professional in his field. To say he is hard-working would be an understatement. His wife Janet, a professional in her own right, enhances the overall operation of the buying and selling experience. They complement each other which leads to a more efficient business. Above and beyond. Mike and Janet successfully guided us through what turned out to be a very drawn-out and difficult negotiation. They kept us calm and focused as we ended up with a great house that meets all of our needs at a very reasonable cost. Mike gave us spot-on insights during our wrangling period, arranged for the attorney, found folks to handle inspections, and even pointed us toward the appropriate place to get a good deal on insurance (much better than was quoted by our own agent of 25 years.) But wait, there's more! After the closing, when other realtors say thanks and adios, Mike coordinated contractors to handle septic installation, electrical inspection, some minor plumbing and heating repairs and introduced us to local merchants for appliances and furniture. If you're looking for a real estate agent who will go the extra country mile, call Mike. Above and beyond.

I've bought/sold several properties over the years. I've not come across a realtor that is as professional, timely and dedicated to their vocation as North Carolina Mountain Investments (specifically Mike and Janet). They handled everything from initial negotiation of our purchase through attorney selection, inspections and closing and were always several steps ahead of me which I view as no easy task. To provide context on their attention to detail: We stopped briefly at a drive-thru to feed our kids on the way to the closing. The store forgot to include some items and we had to return there briefly. When we arrived, the store had already received a call from Mike informing them of our return and our items were literally waiting for us without discussion. Enough said.

If you are looking to buy a North Carolina mountain home you have found the best realtor out there. My husband and I live almost three hours away from the home we purchased. Mike and his team took care of every detail for us. Mike and Janet are honest, hardworking people who do the right thing for their clients.

Mike and Janet Martinez are the best real estate people with whom we have ever dealt.
Having bought and sold real estate numerous times in the past, I can truthfully say that this experience is the most pleasant we have ever encountered.

Mike and Janet did an excellent job helping me to find exactly what I was looking for in a home. Janet walked me through several homes online and decide which ones I wanted to look at. Mike then took me around to the various homes. In just one day we found what I was looking for and made an offer that day. They helped me decide the many factors involved in making an offer. One month later I was moved into my home. I highly recommend them and thank them for everything they did for me.

Sold a home in 2012.
After listing with another agent for over 5 months, resulting in no showings and only one inquiry, I cancelled my contract and hired Mike Martinez. Less than 3 weeks later there were 3 showing appointments resulting in a sale to the first person who saw the house. Mike was totally professional and responded to any calls I made to him within the day.
The buyer's realtor acted like a novice and was sometimes very unpleasant. Mike, more than once, had to rescue the sale by working very patiently with the agent and the buyer.
Mike's knowledge of the market is exceptional. I would highly recommend him to anyone either looking to buy or to sell.
