I have the honor of being ranked in the top 5% of Realtors in MN for the number of annual sales! I attribute my success to my "client first" philosophy. That is to say, I put the concerns of my clients before "just making a sale." Contrary to what you might see on HGTV, not all realtors are pushy salespeople. Instead I bring my expertise to your home search, and together we find the right place. If you're selling your home, I will listen to all your needs, communicate with you every step of the way, and get you the highest price possible for your home.  

As the son of a realtor, I've been familiar with the industry since I was in elementary school. I decided to make real estate my career in 2001, my senior year of college, and I started working for ReMax at that time. Since then I've sold hundreds of homes in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. I am not just a salesperson; I'm also a broker. This means my experience and education have reached the highest level in the industry. 

My primary focus is the Minneapolis market and surrounding areas. I lived in a downtown high rise for three years and served on its association board. I currently live in a house in Mpls, and I understand the housing market through and through. I also focus on real estate investment and, in addition to owning my own rental properties, I help investors find and manage the best rental real estate.

Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $200K in Saint Paul, MN.

Michael is a great realtor because he is a good listener. From the onset of our search Michael asked good questions and helped us clarify what our priorities were. Buyers that already know what they are looking for are safe with Michael, as he works to help you honor those wishes. All the same, buyers that find themselves open to lots of options will find in Michael a good sounding board, and a professional with solid advice.  More Less

Bought a home in 2013.

Michael Gross will appear as genuine and caring but he really wants money like any other pushy agent. Be careful when making a deal with him because he will look you in the eye and shake your hand but when its time to make his promise he will not follow it. Don't do what i did and make him sign for what he agree's to or just stay away from him. In most cases you can present your self as an agent and get a percentage from the seller. what a shame  More Less

One of the things I like most about real estate is meeting a lot of great people, many of whom have become good friends over the years. I thought this client was going to be such a friend -- he invited me to his wedding, we enjoyed numerous double dates, etc. It became clear this client was creating the illusion of friendship to serve a purpose. After I helped him find his dream home, he told me he expected to get a large kick back. When I told him my office doesn't allow kickbacks, he got very upset. His persistence eventually turned to threats and extortion after the closing, as he demanded at least 30% of my commission. If I didn't give him this cash, he said he would post negative reviews of me everywhere he could. He even posted a complaint with the BBB, but they determined his case was not legitimate when I showed them evidence of his threats. I love my job and consider it an honor to help people, but this experience was not only unfair to me, it was also quite hurtful.

Bought a Single Family home in 2014 in Howe, Minneapolis, MN.

We simply cannot recommend Michael highly enough--he knows the Minneapolis market, he knows houses (in our case, old houses, which helped TREMENDOUSLY for first-time homebuyers), he knows pricing, and he knows how to negotiate and deal with counter-offers. On top of it all, he's an enjoyable chap.

The best thing about Michael is that he will go at your pace and will not move things too fast or steer you into something that isn't you. I am confident he would have been fine searching for homes with us for another 6 months, and he also would have supported us if we wanted to make an offer on the first house we saw. What he DID do when we found the one we loved was advise us how he would act in that situation, and then he took his time to explain each part of the process from then on. Also, he is incredibly responsive--he'll never leave you hanging (even late on a Sunday night!).

We recommend Michael so highly that, before we even closed on our home (which we still can't believe we purchased for the price we did, nor how many of our wish-list items it has!), we had recommended Michael to a friend, who had a purchase agreement in place before we had the keys to our new house.

We already know that, when we decide to sell our house and upgrade to that beautiful Linden Hills home, Michael will be our first call.
