Michael is a great realtor because he is a good listener. From the onset of our search Michael asked good questions and helped us clarify what our priorities were. Buyers that already know what they are looking for are safe with Michael, as he works to help you honor those wishes. All the same, buyers that find themselves open to lots of options will find in Michael a good sounding board, and a professional with solid advice.
Michael Gross will appear as genuine and caring but he really wants money like any other pushy agent. Be careful when making a deal with him because he will look you in the eye and shake your hand but when its time to make his promise he will not follow it. Don't do what i did and make him sign for what he agree's to or just stay away from him. In most cases you can present your self as an agent and get a percentage from the seller. what a shame

One of the things I like most about real estate is meeting a lot of great people, many of whom have become good friends over the years. I thought this client was going to be such a friend -- he invited me to his wedding, we enjoyed numerous double dates, etc. It became clear this client was creating the illusion of friendship to serve a purpose. After I helped him find his dream home, he told me he expected to get a large kick back. When I told him my office doesn't allow kickbacks, he got very upset. His persistence eventually turned to threats and extortion after the closing, as he demanded at least 30% of my commission. If I didn't give him this cash, he said he would post negative reviews of me everywhere he could. He even posted a complaint with the BBB, but they determined his case was not legitimate when I showed them evidence of his threats. I love my job and consider it an honor to help people, but this experience was not only unfair to me, it was also quite hurtful.

We simply cannot recommend Michael highly enough--he knows the Minneapolis market, he knows houses (in our case, old houses, which helped TREMENDOUSLY for first-time homebuyers), he knows pricing, and he knows how to negotiate and deal with counter-offers. On top of it all, he's an enjoyable chap.
The best thing about Michael is that he will go at your pace and will not move things too fast or steer you into something that isn't you. I am confident he would have been fine searching for homes with us for another 6 months, and he also would have supported us if we wanted to make an offer on the first house we saw. What he DID do when we found the one we loved was advise us how he would act in that situation, and then he took his time to explain each part of the process from then on. Also, he is incredibly responsive--he'll never leave you hanging (even late on a Sunday night!).
We recommend Michael so highly that, before we even closed on our home (which we still can't believe we purchased for the price we did, nor how many of our wish-list items it has!), we had recommended Michael to a friend, who had a purchase agreement in place before we had the keys to our new house.
We already know that, when we decide to sell our house and upgrade to that beautiful Linden Hills home, Michael will be our first call.

Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $300K in Lyndale, Minneapolis, MN.
I contacted Michael after reading his great reviews and seeing all his experience in the area that I was looking and I couldn't be happier. I am a first time home buyer and he was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. Michael has bought and sold numerous homes in the area and it really showed in the knowledge and expertise that he brought to the table. He was able to point out things in the homes that I wouldn't necessarily have noticed and answer all the questions (lots of them) that I had.
I'm absolutely certain that without Michael's help I wouldn't have been able to purchase the home that I did. Within 24 hours of the listing going live I had a showing and 12 hours later I had an offer in on the house. By the time the listing showed up on Zillow the offer was already accepted. Without Michael I never would have found the house in time, and without his help with the negotiation the sellers wouldn't have cancelled all the other showings and accepted my offer right away.
I really can't recommend Michael enough. His experience really showed and he made the entire experience seem easy!

Michael was great to work with, and my husband and I were very happy that we happened to find him as our realtor through a listing! Michael knows a lot about the area as he's lived here for most of his life. He's also very kind and explained everything to us first-time homeowners very patiently.
Also, he's an amazing negotiator--seriously!!! He has great communication skills and I think they really displayed themselves as we got our offer finalized. Michael is very hardworking, responding to texts and emails at late hours on any day of the week.
The only word of advice is that if Michael gives you advice, you should really listen to it. We learned this the hard way! Michael advised us against a particular lender that enticed us with its low closing costs, but we went with them anyway and had the experience of working with individuals who are not as responsive as Michael at all. Lesson is--Michael is very experienced in this field, not just with real estate knowledge, but with all of the ins and outs of buying a home, from the inspector to the lender and everything outside and in between. Great find!

My experience with Michael was exceptional. I ended up contacting Michael because of his positive reviews on Zillow and am couldn't be more pleased with my decision. Being a first time home buyer, I knew next to nothing about the process The first time he showed us properties, he was more than willing to explain the different steps of the home buying process, and was able to give me clarity regarding the different types of loans, ranges of typical down payments, etc... He was extremely knowledgeable about the areas, properties and gave really helpful feedback when we were comparing and considering different homes. He was great at giving advice and feedback, which made me feel more confident about making decisions. FYI, buying a house is stressful! That being said, Michael has an extremely calm and reassuring demeanor and I could call him at anytime if I had a question. He also was able to refer me to a GREAT home inspector. Michael made the entire process as painless and positive as possible. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a home, and especially to first time home buyers!

Working with Michael was nothing short of perfect! Michael was highly recommended by a friend, as we found how hard it was to set up viewings without having a Realtor helping and representing us.
At our first meeting Michael was very prepared, professional and instantly set us up with weekly emails from MLS - that best matched our requirements. Michael never made us sign a contract upfront or have any pressure towards working with (solely) him. Michael was very patient with us - as this was our first home purchased - we had a lot of questions and viewed a lot of homes!
Michael always answered emails right away, and was able to meet and help anytime during the week or weekend. Michael gave great input on locations and properties due to his experience as a Realtor and as a house flipper.
