Two issues arose which I felt were not handled well:
First, there was a screw up by someone on his side of the transaction regarding a divorce that I was never involved in and was asked to provide a copy of the divorce or complaint which I obviously could not provide. I was then asked to write a letter stating this and told his assistant to handle the mistake which did occur.
Second, the title company Miles chose screwed up the application and confused me with a different individual with a similar name that had a tax lien on a different property that never involved me. I was told that I had to deal with the state tax office because Miles could not. After an hour of attempts I finally found the correct person who immediately stated that the fault was with the title company for not giving them basic information that they had like SS# and addresses. The State fixed things quickly but the problem should never have occurred.
I did get the loan at the price represented but my involvement was required twice for mistakes made on his side of the table.… MoreLess
