Bought a home in 2015.

I reached out to Lawrence for my first home purchase. He was very attentive and promptly responded to any question via phone or email I had. He put me in touch with sources that pre approved me and I was looking for houses within just a couple of days. Because of his vigor and tenacity, I was in my new home in about a month and a half after staring the proccess. I will definitely be calling Lawrence for all future real estate business. Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $625K in San Jose, CA.

The furniture has been moved in, the house has turned into a home, and now that the dust has settled...I stare out into my huge yard and still can't believe we own this home.

First off, the stress, tears, and constant loss on other bids was all worth it in the end. The process was not as smooth as I thought it would be, but of course we are in the Silicon Valley where a 2b1b 100 year old home is 500k or more and people are overbidding asking price. My fiance bought a home on his own with Lawrence Monterrosa in 2009 when it seems the market was a whole different one - which he was very pleased with the process and we knew for sure when we decided to buy a house together that Lawrence would be our agent. We didn't even think twice about choosing him. Lawrence was very responsive to our questions, and called back in a timely manner if a call or text was missed. He is also very positive and upbeat about the different homes, but also told us about the negatives when a certain home would not work out which was sometimes heartbreaking. It was fun searching for different homes even though we lost bids constantly, like I said I feel very blessed we got this one now. The only negative experiences of the process was when we went into escrow. It was a pain and it took very long. Lawrence said we could close in 30 days or less, the positive thinking was detrimental at this point haha but it took longer and whoever the escrow agent was took long getting back to us for documents..we ended up spending more money out of pocket as the sellers asked us for a fee for every day that we did not close after 30 days. Other people who bought homes told me at the time that we should not have said we would close in 30 days, but it is now the norm to say 45-60 days to prevent any issues. We did have to pay more out of pocket, which Lawrence did offer to split the cost in half which was nice. There were many times during escrow that we thought we were going to lose the house and lose our deposit because it was taking long. There are a few things we will probably do differently when we buy our next home, which Lawrence will most likely be the agent we choose to help us again.  More Less
