First off, I’d like to let the Zillow community know we close over 95% of our clients loans with complete satisfaction. Thirty percent of our business comes from referrals; I believe that speaks volumes as to the level of customer service we provide! This particular client asked us to lock their rate out front, which we did. However, they took forever to get us the required documentation (paystubs, W2, etc.). They were even worse once the loan was approved at providing condition documentation. I clearly explained from the beginning the clock starts once we lock the rate, time is of the essence! Unfortunately, that fell on deaf ears in this particular case! This assertion that they were left in the dark is absolutely ludicrous. It was almost as if this particular client felt as though they were above providing information to the lender for refinancing, instead they should just get the loan. The reality is this isn’t 2004 anymore, getting a loan is a document intensive process.
