Bob Sorey, owner and chief experience officer of Best Real Estate Advisors in Mt. Juliet, Tenn., was named one of five inaugural Realtor® Heroes by the National Association of Realtors® in November 2012. As part of its Homeownership Matters Campaign, the NAR identified five Realtors® from across the country who work tirelessly to strengthen homeownership and housing opportunities in their communities.
Customers, clients and colleagues find Bob as an informed, caring Principal Broker licensed by the Real Estate Commissions of Tennessee and Kentucky who believes that when armed with the proper knowledge, individuals can make the correct decisions about their lives. Bob formerly held a Series 7 license and completed his CCIM designation to be a Certified Commerical Investment Manager. This training allows him to evaluate ones financial well being and give practical advice that other real estate brokers may not have the skills to offer.
Bob finds many of his clients moving to Tennessee because of the tax benefits. Having a firm understanding of real estate and how it plays into ones financial plan is an area that many leave untouched. Property taxes, green belt exemptions and estate planning are all areas that Bob has experience in providing guidance for his clients.
Many ask "What makes Bob feel good and give that sense of accomplishment?" His answer includes being dedicated to assisting homeowners in trouble with their mortgages, Bob provides homeowners with the necessary information they need about the options available to them. Once empowered with this knowledge, Bob hopes they can then make an informed decision about what is best for them.
"If they don't make the decision, others will make it for them," says Bob. "By helping people understand what happens when a mortgage is in default can provide comfort, alleviate fears and help these homeowners make the proper decision for them."
Bob is quick to point out, though, that it takes a team of people to make it work. "It's not just about me. It's about the people who employ me as their advisor and real estate broker. I couldn't do it without those who surround me – the other real estate agents, the other realtors, the attorneys, the accountants."
Bob currently hold a Real Estate Brokers license in Tennessee #283604 & Kentucky #70395, as well as a TN producers insurance license for Life, Health and Accident. He is completing his Property and Casualty license to assist property owners with flood insurance.
