Keep in mind that most realtor are dealing with remodeling and maintenance companies to address punch item lists to close a sale. And Yes, painters, plumbers, roofers, flooring, electricians do write note where ever they can when they are interupted. It would be much easier for them to just have messages sent to their laptop that they can confirm-accept-reject-comment on when they decide to go back to the truck at a jobsite. A blackberry can only do so much (i.e. emails) but a laptop will let a contractor run his entire business (scheduling, estimates, invoices, etc). That is the premise of MyOnlineToolbox.
Hi CheckmanJeff,Smart and my instinc is that you understand how to maximize your website opportunities. The biggest thing a lot of people need to recognize is that they should incorporate SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies to bring traffic to their site when communicating with others. My product www.MyOnlineToolbox.com is more complex from a SEO perspective becuase we are national. Most realtors and contractors are local to a specific sets of towns, counties and states and you should easily be able to maximize having people be able to find you for your specific trade and target market. I will not get into SEO strategies here since there is enough info to be found. It should be on your mind regardless. Good luck. Brian
Thanks Barbara for the comment. There are numerous small companies that are overly concerned about the security of their data, but I agree that it is ludicrous, especially if a contractor really thinks about the effort it takes to hack a system and what the value would be to have such information.Sorry Jean, my comment was upfront. Come try it, FOR FREE, to then see the proof is in the pudding. You must have many subcontractors begging for a better way to run their business and we do help. Regards.
Zillow is an excellent way for home buyers and sellers to connect. Professional contractors are always needed before the closing to take care of punch list items. Unfortunately most contractors run their business using pen-paper-napkin&drywall. This doesn't fit well within a Zillow model that has everyone online. MyOnlineToolbox.com has built a simplistic solution that allows a contractor to run the basics of his business. But we also have an interface that allows contractors to get data to the Zillow platform for all users to be better connected for a faster close. Any readers out there seeing the future for contractors using a mobile computer to run their day better?
