Bought a home in 2013.
I wish I could give Nate 10 stars for everything. Our experience with him was fantastic. My husband and I were first time home buyers and using a VA loan which we know requires extra paperwork. On top of that, we were new to the area so we needed a lot of guidance and assistance. From our very first meeting with Nate, we were confident that he would help us find the right home for our needs and budget. He also made himself available to our schedule, whether it was an early Sunday morning a Friday evening or a random weekday afternoon. If we wanted to see a property Nate made sure we did. We also appreciated the details of the homes he looked at. When we walked in a property, my husband and I would go our separate ways, and Nate would go directly to boilers, air conditioning units and checked all the windows to let us know ages of them, and if he suspected issues in the near future. After looking at about 40 properties, we decided to buy in a new development and build our home. Nate attended every meeting with us, from the preliminary construction, appraisal, to the final walk through and many in between. This was extremely helpful for me. My husband had just started a new job and was not always able to go every time and he was confident that Nate would explain to him the progress and next steps. About a month before closing, there was a particular problem with the construction of our home that the builder called me about and I ran over to the site to see it. Coincidentally, Nate called me to check in that afternoon. I told him the problem and he contacted the construction manager and set up a meeting for himself the next day so he could understand the issue and speak with the builders on our behalf. He was able to negotiate some extras for us which we greatly appreciated. Overall Nate is a professional, personable and a very knowledgeable Agent. We would definitely recommend him and use him again in the future.

Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $425K in Springfield, VA.
We've worked with Nate 3 times in the past 2 years & each experience has been wonderful! We originally learned of Nate through our credit union when we were looking to purchase a home in the spring of 2011. While he actively sent us information on properties that matched our list of wants, he was also receptive to discussing & showing us properties that we discovered. Nate introduced us to the home that matched our wish list perfectly. His expertise throughout the search, offer, negotiations, inspection & closing processes was invaluable.

Two years later, while we still loved our original home, the real estate market has improved & we decided we wanted more land. We immediately fell in love with the first house we visited at an open house one Sunday afternoon & while we viewed other homes that day just to be sure, we contacted Nate that evening & asked him to help us make an offer. Having worked with us before, he knew that when we made a decision, we would want to move rapidly. He offered to view the home himself the next morning (so that he could accurately advise us on our offer price) & meet us at our current home that evening to discuss & write the offer.

Even though we had originally planned to rent our first home after we moved, Nate provided us with a perspective on what it's likely sales price would be as we were making the offer on our new home. After a couple of interactions with prospective renters, we were back in contact with Nate to put the first house on the market. While the buyer we selected from multiple offers on the first weekend the home was on the market ended up making the process to get to closing rather adventurous, Nate was continuously professional. Again, his guidance & negotiation abilities made what could have been a very painful process rather painless.

When any of our friends or coworkers mention that they are considering moving, we are eager to provide Nate's name & number so that they can have the same pleasant experiences that we've had.

Nate was exceptional throughout the entire home buying process. He was very responsive and accommodating when it came to showing us all of the properties we wanted to see and helped us evaluate the AC units and roofing and any other potential replacement costs. Nate is knowledgable and answered all of our questions throughout the entire process. Overall, this was a great experience and will be recommending Nate to anyone looking to buy a home!

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $625K in Waverly Hills, Arlington, VA.
Nate is an approachable guy who will explain any facet of the process to you and get back to you IMMEDIATELY. He was willing to visit properties with us and give an honest opinion at any time. He won't tell you "you should get this one" - which is a real gift if you have a decent idea of what you want. I felt like he was willing to go out of his way for us, which is what ultimately got us into our great new home!

Bought a home in 2013.
I bought a townhouse with Nate Shapiro as my Realtor. It took me about 6 months to find the place I wanted, but throughout the entire process Nate was great. He is very low key, and is not pushy at all. Many times we would walk through a home separately, and then compare notes at the end. He is also very good about getting and keeping in contact with you as far as questions or steps in the home buying process, and negotiating with the sellor's during the offer and home inspection sections. I cannot say enough good things about Nate, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a stress-free home buying experience.

Bought a Townhouse home in 2013 for approximately $300K in Sterling, VA.
My wife and I contacted Nate to help us with our first home purchase on Tuesday 2/29/13. We met that Thursday, had our first offer accepted 5 days later on Tuesday, and settled on the originally scheduled settlement date of 3/22, 50 days after our first meeting.

While it is not reasonable to expect the same fortune that we had, our experience should say something about the roll that Nate played. In a hightly competitive market, with inexperienced buyers, the overall efficiency of our home buying experience speaks to Nate's professionalism, repsonsiveness, and guidance.

He helped us sort out the many small details that we never anticipated, and maintianed an efficient flow of information between buyer and seller. He would be a great choice for first time home buyers and seasoned vets alike.

We love our home and 11 weeks after settling we have no regrets!

Nate was extremely helpful throughout my home buying process. He had excellent process expertise, was well-connected with local lenders and titling agencies, and was very responsive to any questions I had. My home purchse went very smoothly thanks in no small part to Nate's skill as a negotiator and his proactiveness in making sure all parties completed their portion of the process on time. I would absolutely recommend Nate.

Sold a Townhouse home in 2012 for approximately $275K in Fairfax, VA.
Nate is an excellent no pressure agent. He listens closely and meticulously observes the customers perspective in order to profile their requirements. In our case, Nate was our agent for the recent purchase of our current home and the selling of our former home. Nate was very influential in our obtaining of a ratified contract on both homes in a very timely manner. His clear knowledge of the housing market allowed an expeditious settlement on both ends for us. He is very detail oriented and was able to help us manage our time lines efficiently. He was always available and very willing to discuss our concerns. I highly recommend Nate Shapiro as a viable and dependable real estate agent.

Bought a home in 2012.
Working with Nate was such a blessing and a pleasant experience! My husband and I were 4 months married when we started getting serious about purchasing a home. Nate came highly recommended by several people within my credit union. Having no knowledge of the process at all, working with Nate was absolutely great! Buying a house is very scary and full of unknowns, he made us feel very comfortable every step of the way. He was very patient and realistic regarding our desired location, space and price point. Fortunately for us we only went on two outings before finding our home.

As far as the purchasing process, Nate was exceptional. What I liked most was that he was professional, informed and stern when needed but he also was personable and we enjoyed every interaction with him. He always happily answered my daily laundry list of questions regarding the process. He was an advocate for us when we needed him and would give his opinion on each issue; but ultimately left the decisions in our hand. We felt comfortable trusting his judgment regarding any addendum, counteroffers and repairs. Nate also helped to keep us grounded in instances where emotion would take over. He was always pleasant and welcome each chance to educate us on anything we needed details about.

I would definitely recommend Nate for anyone looking for a reliable, hardworking, responsive and knowledgeable agent especially 1st time homeowners. An agent that’s not thinking of himself but working to put you in the best position possible for your situation. Working with him is like having a personal buyers manual in your back pocket you can’t go wrong!

Bought a Single Family home in 2009 for approximately $450K in Fairfax, VA.
Nate helped us look at houses and wasn't the kind of guy that really pressured us much. I don't know if that is because he read us well, or he is just a laid back guy. Whatever it was it worked!! He spent a lot of hours with us looking at houses and just chatting about everything.
