My husband and I recently worked with Nora to sell our home of 20 years and buy a new one. From the very beginning of the process, we told Nora that we didn't want to spend a lot of time or money fixing up our house to sell it - we basically wanted to sell it "as is." And one of the things that we appreciated most about our experience was that Nora respected this - she was able to tell us what we absolutely needed to do to get the house ready, and she didn't try to talk us into doing anything that wasn't absolutely necessary. She had the experience and the knowledge of our neighborhood to know what would make our house attractive enough to sell quickly. And she was right - we officially listed our house on a Friday and had a contract the next week! During that week, we had a LOT of people coming through the house, and Nora was always available to help us keep it in good "showing" condition when we couldn't be there - including cleaning out our cat's litter box and making sure that our dog was safely crated.
Once we had a contract on our house, I began to panic, since we hadn't found a new house yet. Nora was able to talk me down off the ledge and assure me that things would work out. Once again, she was right. We spent the next several weeks looking at a LOT of houses with her, and finally found one that we loved. Nora negotiated a great price for us and was able to work out the closings so that we closed on both houses on the same day.
Buying/selling/moving is stressful and I really hope that we don't ever have to do it again (we love our new house and don't plan on leaving), but if we do, we will work with Nora.
