We closed our loan today! Long story short. After 6 months of frustration and struggle with direct lenders, we decided to use a mortgage agent. We picked four agents from Zillow.com, and got quotes from them on the same day. The first one told us that we will have to get FHA loan, the second one gave us lots of rate options but can't figure out the correct loan amount, the third one just took his time and moved on slowly. Finally, the fourth one -- Tricia, we got lucky! She is fast, she is experienced, she is reachable, she remembers all your important information, she knows how to put together a tight and clear loan application for you. She doesn't like to play complicated games, she makes the loan procedure transparent. She lets you know what to expect and what is the next step. She even sets up a back up lender in case the first lender has any problem. We started the application on 07/22, and we got an initial approval on 07/23, the appraisal was ordered on 07/28, we locked in 4.875% + 0.5 points for 30years cash out refinance on 07/31, our loan has been underwritten and got fully approval on 08/05, and we signed the loan documents on 08/14. The whole loan took 3.5 weeks! There is a old saying " All unhappy stories are always different, but all happy stories are always same!" We would say " You will always have happy story if you meet Tricia!"
Ps, it is very ironic that we received a letter from our previous lender IndyMac today, says that they want to do everything to keep our business. They totally forgot that they torched us for 6 months and didn't honor our locked rate and finally denied our refinance application. Now it is their turn for pain. Here is our lesson: Don't deal with direct lenders ever, let an experienced agent have your business, because they earn it.

We live in Eugene and first did a refinance with Tricia to pull money out to buy a home in Hilsboro. The loan closed in 3 weeks, the closing costs were $200 less than she quoted and the rate was .125% better. She was on top of everything at all times and locked the rate on the best possible day. We found our rental home about a month later and we used Tricia again. There were many delays due to repairs that were needed on the house but Tricia was able to get the loan moving quickly to meet our required close date. Again the rate and costs were lower than she originally quoted. She says she likes to quote a little high so that we don't have to bring in more than expected. I have referred her to 5 people and am looking for more. I feel like she was our "angel" helping us every step of the way.
We are clients for life.....

Tricia watched the interest rates as we floated and locked just as rates started to rise--so I got the best rate I could ask for. She kept me informed before and after I found a property, and really pushed to close as fast as possible. She is positive and helpful, and I would use her again without a doubt.
