House Purchase Price $1,750,000 - Developer Listing Price $2,200,000
As a Canadian couple (Vancouver) we determined it might be the right time to purchase a property in Kona. We found Pam through the internet, looking to leverage her local product and pricing intelligence.
In advance of our arrival on the Big Island Pam lined up 16 properties over 3 days, the majority determined by my wife and I in advance, and a few suggested by Pam as worthy of consideration, including a Pam listing. She was was quick to realize that her listing was not a property of interest, focusing on our interests and not hers. Pam could not have been more engaging and accommodative through the property selection, review and candid consideration.
With Pam’s insightful guidance, we were able to negotiate an agreed upon transaction, despite an unexpected, off season, competitive bid.
We were extremely happy with Pam’s part in the negotiation process and in particular her straightforward interaction with the sellers’ agent assuring a sincere, transparent and comfortable process.

09/09/2012 - user2821057Bought a Condo home in 2012 for approximately $350K in Waikoloa, HI.
Our experience with Pam has been nothing but stellar. We were one of those suspect vacationers that called the day before we were scheduled to leave to request a showing of a condo. Not only did Pam treat us with respect, but she listened to what we had to say with regard to likes/dislikes, budget, etc. and took us seriously (not all realtors would do that in a case like ours).
After we left the Island, we continued to look online and Pam sent us things that might have been of interest. She stayed engaged, but was not pushy. As we looked at the multitude of properties, Pam was able to give us information on each property - the good, the bad, and the ugly. Pam knew the properties inside and out, was willing to get any additional information for us (we ask a LOT of questions!), and worked very hard for us in every phase of our purchase. We quickly built a strong trust in her and her judgement - something that was critical as we were offering on a property site unseen, and we are mainland buyers.
As the market rapidly changed, even within the short period of time we worked with her, she handled our worries about "value purchases" and "making the numbers work" within our narrow window, and we ended up with something that met each of these criteria. In addition, our resultant purchase was a short sale purchase. She was very knowledgeable about the process. Was unflappable when it came to a few minor burps that came with the short sale process, and made every aspect of this purchase a pleasure. All in all, we went from being complete strangers to a relationship that I would like to call a lasting friendship in just a couple of months time.
