I didn't intend to insult you either Bob.Just curious why you do something when it appears to creating nothing but angst for yourself. The thread that you claimed I was "following" you on, I had posted prior to you, and you kept trying to argue against Zillow provided info, apparently just to annoy me.By the way, the last time someone threw me was about 25,000 miles.
David -The post was meant to be humorous. I swapped NRA for NAR intentionally. And really, they were only complaining about my constant references to Zillow trend data, if you read the threads. And what I was "banned" for is the same thing people were complaining about over 2 years ago... a simple "avatar". At that time it was the word "PASADENAN" that took up about 8" vertical on the screen. And now it was an image that doesn't look that much different than my present avatar. Really, I can't image how anyone could be offended by such a simple image. It really is nothing like those hot-dogs that someone was using for an avatar about a year ago. And of course, Zillow staff also stated they don't like me answering questions about removing one's house from the site, so I don't anymore; and they also don't like me posting the phone number, so I don't do that either. But really, since the "home maintenance and repair" category was removed from the site, and the "economic watch" category was removed from the site; I don't find the discussions very helpful or interesting anymore. Just the same Realtors ® posting the same things every day.As I stated earlier, I don't mind being banned as long as I still have access to your excellent data.
Steal??? It is just someone that is exceptionally knowledgeable regarding Orange County Real Estate, with over 50 years experience, and substantial experience with statistics and analysis, and has a phone number to call from LA phones in addition to the regular numbers. But Zillow has kicked me off of the site, as the visitors to the site do not want to be referred to Zillow statistical data, for which the site was created, but only want NRA propaganda.
What is really surprising is the credit card companies went from offering 0% interest for 16 months, including balance transfers, to requiring 25 to 30% annual interest. Sure, credit has always been available to anyone that wants it; but before they were just trying to get customers anyway they could without any thought of ability to pay. And now they are trying to make up for their losses by trying to trap people with usury rates.
"deranged posters who resort to insults" -I'm sure that must have been meant as a "complement". I'm sure a person so sensitive to imaginary insults wouldn't intentionally be trying to insult someone. As for stalking... No one has ever stocked him in his entire life. Certainly no one posting on Zillow. Must just be more imagination, or perhaps wishful thinking.
Oh, so you are stating that 2005 and 2006 was a "buyers" market because more people were buying then selling, and because days on market was less than 90? And because of that, you are stating that the prices in 2005 and 2006 were lower than normal?I'm missing your logic somewhere.
"Of course some folks prefer buying only when it's a "Seller's Market"" -It is a "sellers market". That is why you are "selling" and not "buying" Real Estate. Who cares if you are a "buyer's agent"? You are still SELLING, and someone else is "buying".The last "buyers market" was 1992 to 1995. We won't see a buyers market again until the bubble finishes deflating and the foreclosure rate goes back to normal (1% of all ownership units; 7% of what is on the market at any given time), and the government stops propping up prices. Sure, they state they will stop in April 2010; but with their track record, do we really believe them?
Ever read 1984? Written about 1948 in 1948?These Realtors ® remind me so much of that book, changing their tune every time the climate changes, and then stating they've been stating the same thing all the time, and actually believing it.Yes, just a typical used car sales man, that will say anything to close a sale. The sad part is they really believe the propaganda they spout.Even the politicians with the "oath of office" have a higher ethical standard. If the weather is "paradise", then your heating and cooling bill for the entire year was "$0"? Mine was, but I certainly don't live in the awful place that Linda keeps trying to sell. And if the place is so desirable due to attractions, stores, quiet, transportation, water, resorts, beaches, skiing, lakes, rivers, schools, arts, music, historic buildings, trees, bike trails, libraries, parades, sports, amusement parks, movie studios, job diversity... then why are there so many foreclosures and people abandoning the place? And why does Linda only sell foreclosures in the first place? And why does she not only collect a commission from the seller, but also an additional $2k from the buyer? When Linda stops selling and starts personally buying, I might believe her. But actually, the better time to buy is when Linda can't make any money selling Real Estate and goes into stage dancing instead.By the way, what is the Jobs to Housing ratio there? CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act) requires that to be on the documentation for all "projects" and zoning changes.
Should I buy now or wait?
