The bottom line of this review is that, if we need another realtor (we just sold our house), Paul Butterfield is the first person we would call. We were so pleased with his professionalism and his business acumen. We are somewhat along in years and both have challenging medical issues, but Paul handled us and them with aplomb. Level-headed, practical, creative,we could go on and on, but those specifics really aren't required. Suffice it so say that we give Paul the highest of recommendations. Why, the other day, we simply contacted him to say that we missed him. He is just like one of the family now.

Paul is very approachable, down-to-earth, knowledgeable and sharp. I was glad to have him on my side. I sold my home remotely and he gladly helped with a lot of the last minute logistics that I could not tend do. He was available nearly all the time and quickly responded to any questions or needs.

I cannot recommend Paul Butterfield enough. He is a superior broker that handled a complex sale in record time and while getting us top price.

I met Paul under difficult circumstances. My mother passed away suddenly and my brother and I found ourselves having to sell her house relatively quickly. Unfortunately our first agent (a family friend) was not very experienced, and literally caused us to waste over 3 months of prime selling season, as he was unable to sell the property nor generate much interest in it. Worse, our first agent was consistently unable to explain to us why there was such little interest in the property and what could be done to turn things around. Once the contract expired with our first agent, we interviewed several agents. Not only were we starting over, but we were now at a clear disadvantage because the property had been on the market already for over 3 months generating little interest, so we felt the chances of getting a good price on the property were slim.

Paul stood out right from the beginning. During an impressive interview he did a thorough review of the house, gave us frank explanations of both positive and negative aspects of the property in its current state, and highlighted some quick changes that could be made to increase the positive attributes of the house. He also explained in clear but impressive detail the current market conditions and how they related to our property. It was obvious to us right from this first meeting that Paul was extremely experienced, knew the market very well, and had a clear feel for what would make the house attractive and renew interest in the property. But Paul did not just showcase his knowledge, he also came to this first meeting with a detailed, clear marketing strategy for how to move the house. He also showed us in detail the multiple, extremely impressive internet-based tools that he consistently uses to both generate interest in the property and follow up with any potential buyer. He clearly stood out as the person we needed to move this property, and my brother and I signed with Paul feeling that things were finally on track.

Once Paul was on board, he took immediate charge of all issues. He coordinated all the work that had to be done in terms of improvements, he found all the necessary contractors that were required, he adapted to any surprises, he kept the expenses to the dollar that we had agreed. There was not one issue that gave him any problem or got in the way of him accomplishing his plan. Once the works he had recommended were completed, the house went back on the market, and within a week Paul got us a FULL-PRICE offer on the house, with extremely fast closing and no contingencies!! He also managed the buyers and their agents perfectly, and we went through closing without any issues. A few weeks before I would have never thought that this would be the ultimate outcome. And I know it would not have happened with anyone else but Paul.

The difference between our first agent and Paul was truly staggering. Paul knew the market, knew how to price the house, he had state-of-the-art internet marketing vehicles which he used to great effect, he had access to all the possible resources and contractors to take care of any issues that came up, and he had a clear vision and a clear plan that got us the price we wanted in a week. Our first agent was unable to give us guidance, generate interest, or take care of issues in over 3 months!

In my mind however, the most amazing thing about working with Paul is that he always made me feel like I was his only customer. Even though I knew that he managed many other properties, I never once felt like I had anything less than his full attention and time. Paul always made sure my brother and I were fully informed and in the loop, and that we had no outstanding questions, issues or concerns. When there were issues that popped up, he would call us not just to tell us of the issue, but to also let us know of at least 2 possible solutions, either of which he would be ready to implement as soon as we gave him the go-ahead.

I think that Paul Butterfield is the perfect example of an accomplished broker. He knows exactly how to get his customer top value, he is honest and clear, his opinions and suggestions are based on over twenty years of demonstrated experience, and he successfully uses state-of-the-art internet solutions that clearly paid off in terms of generating immediate, renewed interest in a property that had already been on the market for 3 months, as well as allow him to quickly identify interested parties and follow up with them. He delivered on what he promised, and he turned a potential disaster into a clear success, all in record time.

I had the great fortune of finding Paul Butterfield to list my parent's former home. I had not lived in the area for many years and used Zillow to help me find a realtor. From our first conversation Paul demonstrated his excellent knowledge of the real estate market and used Join Me software to allow me to see market information, current competition and recently sold comparable properties from my home computer in another state. Throughout the process Paul gave me consistently good advice, updates on progress and was always available if I had questions or concerns. With Paul's guidance I was able to sell the house above asking price in less than one month and complete settlement in less than 2 months!
