Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $250K in Seattle, WA.
Paul Cantu worked with me to find just the right house for me and he did it. It was a great experience and I will tell you the things I appreciated most about working with Paul. First, it might be helpful to know something my requirements for the home buying process. I was one of those buyers that had not narrowed down my search to a neighborhood or style or size. I looked at lots of houses from new construction to homes built in the 1910’s. I looked at houses that were in Central, South, or West Seattle.
Paul and I looked at houses ALL OVER the place. We looked on weekdays, weekends, mornings, and evenings and Paul was always fully engaged in the process—giving me good feedback and insight about what we were seeing. I changed my mind about submitting an offer on one house, after Paul had written the offer and his response was right on target. Since I could not get over my reservations and Paul told me that I had to be comfortable with my decisions and that we would just keep looking.
There were a couple of occasions when Paul was traveling for a few days and not available to show me properties. He arranged for one of his associates to show me the properties I wanted to see on those days and that worked well too.
Paul knows his stuff and is a good agent. He knows neighborhoods and has good analysis about pricing. But, many people will tell you those things. One of the things that is HUGELY important to me personally is that Paul treats people well. Over the months we worked together, I witnessed Paul interact with my family members, homeowners and their families, and other agents. These people were all different races, ages, and class backgrounds. He was always professional and respectful of them. Even in critiquing the property, Paul never criticized people or their families harshly – even when a few folks had poor conditions in their homes. Paul is not just a great agent-- he is a good guy.
I have been moved into my house for a few months now. I love my house and working with Paul was wonderful.
"Paul's team is really different". both in their approach and their attitude.
To Whom it May Concern There are not enough words to thank the Paul Cantu Real Estate Team for the fast, professional, and friendly service they provided me when I bought my first rehab property, and prepared it to sell. They went over and beyond the call of duty to list and market it quickly. It was barely on the market for 3 weeks when it sold for 97.7% of my original asking price. That's incredible in today's slow market. Kudos to the entire Cantu Group, and especially to Paul Cantu for all of his personalized service. As a real estate agent and adviser he is worth his weight in gold. I cannot tell you how many other agents have dropped me in the past because I did not buy from them after looking at several homes. He knows how to get the job done I look forward to working with Paul and his team in the future.
Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $300K in Renton, WA.
Paul Cantu Real Estate was very welcoming and provided excellent customer service. Matthew Reichlin was our agent and he was great. He made himself available with very little notice. Knowing that I could drive by a house and see it that evening since we had Matt was a stress relief in the process of finding a house. When we found the one and made the offer he mentioned some details about us to the agent and the owners which made the owners want us to have the house. The owners were selling this house under a program as a short sale. The bank disqualified the owners and so Matt took the matter into his own hands researched the program in detail and then advised them what to do at that point. Due to Matt going above and beyond we were able to get into our first house. I would definitely recommend Matt to friends and family.

Thanks to Paul Cantu and his agent, Matthew Reichlin, I was lucky enough to get into a small home that was a short sale. The short sale I found was perfect for me and I can't thank them enough for helping me through the process. I would recommend these two as it was their expertise that made it happen.
Sold a Single Family home in 2010 for approximately $375K in Whittier Heights, Seattle, WA.
I contacted Paul when I was planning to put my house on the market last spring (2010) because I was moving out of state. Paul was extremely professional and thorough and took the time to educate me on the home-selling process. He clearly does his research and has great familiarity with the Seattle housing market. We listed the house on a Friday and received two full-price offers the next day. With Paul's expertise, the period between acceptance and closing went smoothly. I was able to check "sell house" off of my list and move 2/3 of the way across the country with no worries (of the house-selling variety, anyway). In addition to being a diligent and effective real estate professional, Paul is a really cool guy. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Bought a Single Family home in 2010 for approximately $325K in Green Lake, Seattle, WA.
An excellent first time home buying experience" As a first time home buyer I appreciated the guidance and expertise of Paul Cantu. When I first met Paul I was feeling discouraged about purchasing a home as I had been looking for a while and had begun to feel that I would not be able to find anything in my price range. He asked me many questions about what was most important to me in a home as well as to the type of neighborhood that I wanted to live in. In less than a week Paul found me a lovely home, within my price range in the Green Lake neighborhood. When Paul submitted my offer, the agent and seller were already countering an offer from another buyer. Paul's strong negotiating skills made sure that my offer was ultimately accepted. I was impressed by Paul's professionalism and contractual knowledge. I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a home.
Bought a Single Family home in 2009 for approximately $550K in Beacon Hill, Seattle, WA.
Paul has been my family's agent for over a decade, both as a listing and selling agent for residential and multi-family properties. My husband and I were casually looking at properties for two years and Paul was not only highly informative, but very patient with us. There was one house that my husband and I were hesitant to view because it was out of our price range, but Paul encouraged us (no pressure) to look at it for comparison. We weren't even halfway through our tour when all of us (my husband, Paul, and myself) all knew without speaking that this was the house we had to place an offer! I believe that the relationship we formed through the years and the extra time commitment Paul extended towards us made us feel confident in putting a successful bid towards our house. Paul was extremely helpful during the closing period, helping us ease our anxiety about purchasing a home by being available for clarifying questions about our new home. Paul is also a Seattle native, so he knows a lot about the greater Seattle area.
Bought a Condo home in 2010 for approximately $250K in Broadview, Seattle, WA.
Paul and his team helped me buy my first home. When I met Paul I instantly felt relieved with his down-to-earth approach and knowledgeable advice. He helped me feel "at home" with the stressful process of buying a home for the first time. Paul was great with scheduling times to tour places in which I was interested. I work an unusual swing-shift work schedule and Paul was always available to answer my questions even when I called him after normal working hours. We looked at a number of places so I could get a feel of what I would ultimately want. Paul's extensive knowledge of Seattle's neighborhoods helped me find a home that I could afford and that I love.
I would recommend Paul to anyone looking for an honest, straight shooting real estate professional. Paul is a great guy and easy to get along with. I never felt any pressure and I always had a clear precise answer to all my questions. Thanks to Paul Cantu I am very satisfied with my first-time-home-buyer experience.
Sold a Single Family home in 2007 for approximately $300K in Shoreline, WA.
Due to Paul's aggressive and innovative marketing techniques my home sold in just over
one month for 99.7% of the listing price! Unlike most agents who just put up a sign and
upload a listing on the MLS hoping that the house will sell itself, Paul and his staff went
above and beyond to sell our home. Paul and his staff kept me updated with every step
of the home selling process to ensure a smooth and easy closing. I was so impressed with my experience with Paul and the Cantu Group that I am going to use their services again the next time I buy or sell.
