We have sold two houses and purchased one with Paul. We will never go with anyone else. Choose him as your realtor! You will not regret it! He will be your #1 advocate whether you buy or sell. He has an extensive construction background, which is an invaluable asset as a realtor. Any realtor can sell you on how "charming" a house is...not every realtor can explain that, that very same house is eventually going to need a new basement wall, because of a water-related structural issue. If you want to venture blindly, through the most expensive purchase of your life, choose another realtor. If you want support for every step of the buying/selling process, choose Paul. We love Paul!
Paul helped my wife and I buy our first home in Rochester, NH in 2009. He recently helped sell our Rochester house in December and help find our new home in Stratham. From the beginning Paul was less interested in sale price or quantity of sales and more interested in finding the house that would fit our family and our timeline. His extensive knowledge of the building trade, buying/selling real estate, major home systems, and market value made purchasing alot less stressful. His professional communication skills were very impressive. Even in difficult situations we could rely on his judgement to provide logical feedback time after time. Paul has become part of our family and we would recommend his services to anyone who is looking to buy or sell in the seacoast area.
Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $250K in Barrington, NH.
I don't even know where to start with Paul - the man was simply amazing. My wife and I just sold our house that we lived in for 11 years with Paul and he helped us buy our new home. He was responsive and respectful with absolutely everything - and we can be difficult with many questions. Didn't matter what time day/night it was, Paul always responded very quickly and to our satisfaction.
Because he was a builder for a long time, Paul knows his stuff when it comes to A) fixing your house so it will sell better and B) what defects exist in houses you are looking to purchase. Many a home we might have considered and perhaps purchased if it was not for his expertise in finding problems when most realtors wouldn't spot them.
I cannot be more clear about this - Paul is the best realtor in NH by far. We tried to sell our house on several occasions before this one and while those realtors were nice, they had nowhere near the knowledge that Paul does. We had a buyer in a short amount of time, and he showed us a ton of properties before we settled on what we think is the perfect home for us.
Please, please, please use Paul as your realtor - you will not regret it!
Bought a Single Family home in 2014 in Somersworth, NH.
We recently closed on our first home after working with Paul Thibodeau as our realtor. Paul was a wonderful person to work with and his experience in both realty and construction made him a great resource. Being first time home buyers we did not know a lot about what to look for as far as quality construction and systems. Paul pointed many things out to us along the way, which gave us an idea of how much money we would need to put into the house, as well as things that might come up during an inspection. Paul listened to what we wanted in a home, and was very patient and flexible. Our work schedules are not always traditional and he was willing to work around our availability. We ended up with a home that we love and I am grateful to Paul for helping us through every step of the way, I would refer Paul to anyone with 100% confidence.

Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $275K in Madbury, NH.
My wife and I purchased our first home in 2014. Very soon into our home search it became clear that we would need a Real Estate Agent to guide us through the process. Lucky for us, we stumbled upon the Zillow Real Estate Agent review page where we found Paul's profile. It was immediately obvious after reading through some of the reviews that Paul was the guy for us. We felt that Paul would not be able to inspire literally dozens of people to write such glowing remarks about him unless he was 'the real deal'. Well, Paul lived up to the reviews and then some. We can't say enough good things about him, both personally and professionally.
Paul has a great personality and is easy to work with. Paul has a way of putting you at ease even as the home buying process becomes extremely stressful. Paul has always been professional, respectful and quick to return a call/email. Paul also manages to exude professionalism without being overly 'stuffy'. In fact, over the course of our dealings, we were able to share a few personal stories and laughs. Working with Paul became like working with an old friend. It was never awkward, like things tend to be between 'strangers'. Paul was very understanding and patient when we had to bring our small 2 year old child with us to meetings. Instead of exhibiting annoyance and impatience, Paul actually engaged with her in a gentle and pleasant way. More importantly, we felt that Paul really wanted to help us in the truest sense of the word. Even after the sale, Paul has been there for us. He has been exceedingly generous with his time long after his commission check has been cashed. We are not just talking about returning a call or email here. Rather, we are talking about driving over to our new house and getting in the middle of dirty renovation projects in order to offer advice/help. In this light, I view Paul as a bit of a throwback. You'd be hard pressed to find Paul's level of service in these modern times.
Paul has great expertise in all aspects of residential real estate, whether it be evaluating, pricing, or negotiating. However, we find Paul's experience in building construction invaluable and what really sets him apart. As a buyer, you will normally rely on a general home inspection to flag any potential problem with the house. However, keep in mind that a general home inspector simply takes a course and passes a test, whereas Paul has actually built many houses himself. This means that Paul has a deeper understanding of proper building construction. Without Paul, and especially if you are buying an older house, you are flying rather blind through the biggest financial transaction of your life. In contrast, having Paul by your side when examining an older house is akin to having your own trusted mechanic out on the used car lot with you. Paul also knows which contractors do solid work for a fair price based on his own prior experience in home construction. So, for example, if the electrical system gets flagged on the general inspection report, Paul can guide you to an electrician who will be able to perform a deeper analysis of the problem and provide you with a repair quote. You will have peace of mind knowing that the contractor has been vetted for quality and fair pricing.
In our particular situation, Paul helped us negotiate a selling price far below the asking price and exceedingly below the lending bank's appraisal value of the property. Further, Paul helped us negotiate that the sellers repair a few fairly expensive defects at their own cost and to our satisfaction. 'To our satisfaction' was a very high standard to meet, maybe even reaching some people's definition of unreasonable, but Paul managed to pull it off while staying very patient with us. Finally, Paul was able to help us find a mortgage with good terms.
In summary, we would enthusiastically and without a doubt recommend Paul to anyone looking for a Real Estate Agent. Thanks again Paul!

Selling Real Estate is how I make a living. Being able to combine that with my home building experience and sharing my knowledge to help you reach your goal is how I am rewarded the most! Meeting wonderful people like you is a bonus. Thank you so much for this glowing review.
Bought a Multi Family home in 2014 for approximately $425K in Dover, NH.
We were referred to Paul by a friend who recently purchased a home with the use of his services. As first time rental property buyers, Paul made the whole search and purchasing experience seem not so intimidating. Paul demonstrated solid communication, persistence, patience, reliability, and trust. With a building background, he has additional knowledge that gives him an unarguable edge over other realtors, with the ability to provide extra, very helpful insight. We would definitely recommend Paul to any one looking for exceptional service and expertise.Thank you for helping launch our dream of investing in real estate. Cheers to now and the future!

Bought a Single Family home in 2007 for approximately $250K in Northwood, NH.
Paul was our agent years ago when we bought our very first house. I was extremely pleased with him overall - his personality, his knowledge, his willingness to try as hard as he could to go to bat for us. It was a fantastic experience and I would absolutely suggest him to anyone looking for a realtor! If we ever decide to sell or buy again, he will be our first call. He also connected us with a local mortgage specialist that was easy to work with and helped us navigate our very first mortgage.
I just happened upon Paul. Using zillow I sent a request for more info and low and behold I met Paul. By the third home he showed me I was sold. Not on the home but on Paul. I was the one pulling out the broker agreement to sign. I know a good thing when I see it. That good thing is Paul. Hands down the best man for the job. I came into the house hunt with some baggage, in
law suite, walk out basement, kid friendly neighborhood and unique floor plans. Paul was patient, knowledgeable and easy to work with. Always with a quick reply with our ever changing desires for our home. I would tell it from the mountaintop that Paul is your guy. He helped in every way he could and for that I am very grateful.
Sold a Apartment home in 2013 for approximately $350K in Dover, NH.
Paul is a top-notch realtor. He made a daunting process enjoyable. We had a 300 year old home to sell. That is not an easy task, but Paul was up for it. He wrote up a beautiful description on the MLS which attracted a lot of attention from potential buyers. Our home was sold in weeks! He helped us find a new home that we are thrilled with. I would highly recommend Paul if you want an excellent Real Estate experience.
Simply put, Paul is fantastic! Thanks to him, we were able to sell our house in an extremely short amount of time and he made the entire process run smoothly. His background in construction and custom home building puts him above his competition as he was able to point out important details about our house that other realtors may have missed. His responsiveness, professionalism and knowledge make him the best choice, hands down. You won't be disappointed!
