I started building luxury homes in South Florida in 1973, so Florida construction styles are no stranger to me. In my years of selling residential real estate my knowledge of residential construction has been helpful to my clients in their search for their dream homes.
Having graduated with a BA in Education, my first years out of college were spent in teaching young educationally challenged students with an individualized curriculum designed around real estate. It helped to keep them engaged and gave them the tools to deal with real life in a way easily understood. To this day I keep in touch with some of my students through social media, and they still, these many years later, still keep me abreast of their many accomplishments.
When I became licensed in 2000, although I had been selling my own developments in the 70's, I began selling residential real estate that I had not actually built myself. I started working in high end homes in the Washington DC area, but missed Florida and my family so my wife and I moved back to Orlando. My clients from up north still contact me when they or friends and family are moving to Florida. I have always kept in touch with my clients, no matter how far away they are. Once I am your realtor, I am your realtor for life! Relationships and trust are what my business has been built on for the past 30 or so years, and that's just the way it is.
I have served as president of my Homeowners Association, numerous boards including Palm Beach Federal Savings Bank, President of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church for 5 years and a 20 year board member. My experience has helped me to understand the workings of banks and their relationships to the customers that they serve. This is what I bring to the table, as well as an intimate knowledge of residential real estate in the Orlando metropolitan area.
My continuing education has led me to become a Certified Distressed Property Expert, specializing in short sales and REO sales. In this day and age, these are tools which allow me to make the process of finding and closing on a home better than the average agent.
I build relationships. I build trust. That's what helps me to gain and keep clients and build my business over these past 30. Eighty percent of my clients come from referrals. I appreciate that and am humbled by it. I strive every day to live up to client expectations.
