We found Paul when we sent a random email about a property. At the time we were not in the position to buy but we wanted to get a feel of the properties that were out there. He understood and showed us several properties over the course of 1 ½ years. A year after meeting him we found the near perfect property and finances worked out to buy it. Only then did he ask us to sign a contract. Little did any of us know the roller coaster ride it would be! Paul guided us through the craziness of uncooperative seller; a less than knowledgeable, unresponsive sellers agent who got around to answering phone calls or responding to emails in a week or two or three—if you were lucky! The seller claimed the second mortgage was not theirs; then they said it was paid off; lastly they claimed they owed just a little. When the truth finally came out with all the mortgages and liens they owed substantially more than the property was worth. So we agreed to a short sale. Paul repeatedly sent calls and emails to the seller's agent. A month later the seller’s agent finally produced the signed and dated contract which was dated two weeks prior. For those two weeks we were in limbo unsure whether we had any hope of buying the property or not. Through all this, Paul kept us up to date with the information as best as he could. The deal ultimately fell through and we purchased another property that went relatively smoothly. Thankfully we had an amazing agent to guide us through the mess. Job well done!
