Meet Peggy Maglio, REALTOR, ABR, RSPS
Peggy's first memory of a paint roller in her hand at 5 year's old reminds her that she's been practicing some form of real estate – licensed or not – for most of her life. Growing up in Milwaukee in a home built in the 1800s with an architect father who taught 5 kids hands-on remodeling and how to read blue prints at a young age, kept her interested in "home work" throughout college and during her 30-year career in sales and marketing positions working in cities from New York to Los Angeles.
Raised and educated in Wisconsin, Peggy began her career there, then continued in Los Angeles when husband Tom's career took them West in 1986. After moving to Scottsdale in 1994, Peggy's corporate career continued for 17 years in a Fortune 12 company. Peggy climbed the ladder to Director of Marketing then moved into successful sales and sales leadership positions. Yet, over the years she knew her final and favorite career would circle back to her earliest memories in real estate. She finally got her opportunity! Parachuting out in 2009 with a year's severance helped her transition to a full-time real estate career.
Peggy's University of Wisconsin B.A. degree with a double major in Mass Communication-Journalism and Graphic Arts, and her 2nd Bachelor's Degree studies in Interior Design contribute to her success over the years selling homes, exactly what she's always loved.
Peggy joined HomeSmart Premier after a 5-year award-winning career with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. In 2013, Peggy finished in #2 position for Fountain Hills, and in #7 position for the Fountain Hills and Scottsdale offices combined. This earned her the International Diamond Society Award, reserved for the top 11% of agents, globally.
Peggy says, "HomeSmart Premier is a refreshing, unique, new style of brokerage, aiming to be our fun, ‘hometown,' welcoming real estate agency, involved in the community from hosting Chamber of Commerce events to participating in charity opportunities." HomeSmart is now the #1 real estate company in the entire Southwest! Her slogan is "Move Smart" as she focuses on counseling sellers and buyers in making their smartest moves in real estate to benefit them long term.
Peggy's passions include writing, and she's been published in major newspapers, such as The Los Angeles Times, The Milwaukee Journal, and in community newspapers; art, whether drawing or painting; gardening and remodeling, an extension of art and a favorite endeavor, and she believes a home's design is never finished, evolving over the years and the home's lifetime.
Peggy's lived in Arizona over 20 years, 14 of those in Fountain Hills with her husband Tom and 2 Shelties, named Kelsey and Mac who both recently earned the Canine Good Citizen Title, and she also has a strong passion and love for animals.
